"Averaging 25-8" like he did during his MVP season and "getting back to the level of play he was at pre-injury" are two different things. I expect the latter not the former.

If he's healthy there's no reason to think it impossible for him to be the same old Derrick Rose he was pre-injury. Physically he looks like he hasn't missed a step. The only thing I'm noticing in his game right now is that his floor game doesn't seem to be quite up to speed (As TyGuy pointed out), but that's expected from a guy who hasn't had much game time experience in the past 2 years.

If you want to call me foolish for thinking that a healthy D-Rose can get back to the level of play he showed pre-injury then go ahead lol. However, you may want to call every other fan and analyst who views the Bulls as being contenders foolish also because that's what they're assuming as well.

Well the Bulls are "contenders" because they are in the East. But yes, based on what I'n seeing from Rose, anyone who thinks the Bulls are equal to or better than us is foolish. IMO.

Well assuming Rose stays healthy you'd be foolish to assume the Rose you're seeing now in FIBA play is the same Rose you'd see come playoff time...

And I guess the vast majority of NBA analysts are "foolish" then because they see the East as a two team conference with the Bulls and Cavs as nearly equals. In fact, most analysts actually see the Bulls as the being the better team next season.

Probably more denial than anything. Kinda like many of us were in denial about The Big 3 when they got together in Miami. It's the "cool" thing to pick the Bulls. Too easy to pick the team with the best player, best PF, Kyrie Irving (who's completely outplaying Derrick Rose this Summer), Dion Waiters, etc..
