The Dog Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
anyone have any advice on making my dog more like a dog

it's really bumming me out

we adopted him (shepherd/husky mutt) about 8 months ago, pretty sure he was abused by previous owner. very scared of everything. would always run into the shower stall at any disturbance, or cower when i raised my hand to throw a toy. just laid around inside.

figured it would just take time for him to get to know us and get more comfortable

but he's still incredibly lethargic indoors, has no interest in playing. he will wag when you approach him and sometimes gets excited when we get home.

he will play outside, but really only fetch, not like roughhousing or anything. i've gently tried to roughhouse with him, he has no interest. last few days he doesn't even want to go outside even though he loves playing in the snow once he gets outside.

he gets along great w other dogs, in fact i think he annoys other dogs because he never wants to stop playing

and he still runs into the shower stall whenever my fiancee or i raise our voices, of he hears a loud noise

poor guy :(

That last pic is exactly how I would picture Daves crib. Change, litter and pill bottles all over the floor. :chuckle:

Yeah, @David it's a good idea to vacuum and pick up at least the area you plan on taking a picture of. My gf freaks out if a blanket is misplaced in photos she's going to post.

Our puppy has gotten pretty damn big already. He's a little over 5 months old now. The other two just got their haircuts yesterday in preparation for the spring weather. We just got this new rug today. The pillows on the couch probably could have been arranged better.

This dog is so special.

Strong personality.., so positive and happy and excitable.. Stands up and zombie walks over to people she wants to meet, which is everyone.. She gets so much attention..

Most of all, this dog fucking loves me. I'm her daddy. She needs me like I need her. She is absolutely adorable. So cuddly

Every day I try to break onto the sdsu football field. She goes nuts after tennis balls forever. And often she gets attention from the girls who are too young for me.

I wish posting pics were easier from android

This dog is NUTS

she's a fucking escape artist..

First time I left the apartment she physically forced open her cage which was latched shut

Several times she has pushed my font door open and left.. She doesn't get far bc she wants to be friends with everything and she gets distracted and I catch her

I took her with me to groceries today and she pushed the window button all the way down and she jumped out... I had to chase her up the street. Luckily aa soon as she saw me she ran towards me instead of away.. This is the fastest dog alive

I put my foot down and said no more cats. so the woman got a bunch of puppies .

anyone know what breeds these are?

I'm no scientist, but it looks like you've got a litter of shitty, tiny mutts.

The worst one should still be better than a cat, though.

Along with my wonderful three Great Pyrenees; we had a small little Pekingese that we got a year ago.

I'm not sure if I posted her here, but I regret to inform everybody here that she is no longer with us.

My girlfriends friend is going through a divorce, and her current husband was too selfish to take care of his dog on his own. My girlfriend let and her two dogs stay with us.

Piper was really getting along with one of her dogs; which is some kind of herding mixed type dog. So we put piper and our friends two dogs outside while we went out for dinner and left our pyrs inside.

While we were gone our friends piece of shit inbred, disguising, vile, gremlin looking demon of a bulldog killed our little Pekingese.

Piper looked like she had tried to run away and got to our glass sliding door. Our alpha pyr could only hopelessly watch.

As soon as we opened the door to get our little piper, Panda, the alpha pyr, rushed the bulldog, and I had to hold him back. Part of me wishes that I could have let him tear apart that bulldog....

I'm about to take little Piper to get cremated. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I'll post some pictures later of Piper.

Put this in one of the game threads last week, but here's my dog rocking some Cavs gear:

Nice! I still remember your dog inspiring the playoff run last year by peeing all over that bench at the bar.
