The Paul George Safari: LeBron Strikes Back!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Round and round the arguments go.

When they will stop, no one knows.

The full Leland reveal arc of eps 14-16 are some of my favorite parts of Twin Peaks. Ray Wise just kills it in that role. from beginning to glorious end.

Let's see, I'd have PHX get Kyrie and Shump as a defensive SG to play behind offensive dynamo Booker. They are getting the premier player in the deal based on age and contract so they give up the most: Bledsoe to us, Chriss, Warren, and future picks to Indiana.

So it would look like:

CLE: PG13, Bledsoe, Young

PHX: Irving, Shumpert, RJ(retires)

IND: Chriss(8th pick last year), Warren(SF replacement), Frye(expiring), Dudley(mentor), picks

This would go down on draft night contingent on PHX getting Josh Jackson at pick #4

An again, just looking into all angles here. I do not wish to trade Kyrie and doubt it even gets discussed more than 30 seconds in the Cavs war room

I definitely would not do that deal, MirO...

No way am I trading Kyrie for anything less than someone of the same degree of talent as say.. Jimmy Butler.

So wait, do rate out Butler as better talent/better fit than Paul George?

Because to me, it's essentially Kyrie for PG13 AND Bledsoe and then Shump/Frye for Thad Young.

Just done as one big trade to make the salaries work

Definitely top-5 character on the show. Fucking love Ray Wise.

I got take a deep breath and start watching Twin Peaks. I'm re-watching previous week's show right now, then going to dive into episode 7.

All this PG trade stuff got my distracted from my favorite TV show.

I think.. given the circumstances, that would be an overpay since PG13 is really only on a 1-year deal.. If it was PG13 on a 5-year deal, then things would be different, and I'd argue it's not so bad.

Personally, I would want to get Butler on this team more than George; but that's to play alongside Irving.

Sounds good but Butler has two years left on his deal(less leverage to force and dictate terms of deal) and Boston has a hard on for him, so just not sure how Chicago and us come to an agreement given what Boston can offer.

Completely agree. I rather have Butler over PG, IMO. Especially next to Kyrie.

There was a quote from Marty Schottenheimer that kept getting repeated during the 87 AFC title game by Dick Enberg.

The old quote was "After Kosar, Earnest Byner would be the last guy I'd love in a trade"

Kyrie is a guy...you don't give up. If you did? it'd have to be for some Anthony Davis-like figure or someone of that note. A deal so good for a player on the up and up that for the good of the franchise? You don't pass on.

Love I'm iffy on giving up on, but he can be had for a price. If there's a scenario where I don't have to give up TT? I'd be thrilled, but he's not "untouchable".

But LeBron and Kyrie are the "last two" you'd lose in a trade.

Well, that depends on what Boston is offering... Either way Kyrie Irving for Butler makes all the sense in the world for the Bulls... so Boston would need to trade the farm to top that, IMHO.

Nonetheless, the thought of trading Kyrie Irving is sickening.. perhaps it might come to that, but it's something you do and not think too much about.. like putting down your pet..

Kyrie for Butler is a bad deal. If we could a point guard along with Butler I would be all for it.
