The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kinda wanted this to be a throwback to a true arcade shooter. All weapons and items on the map. All characters the same at the start. No special unique powers or anything like that. Whatever you can get is out on the map. The only thing you start with is the basic weapon that everyone else starts with.

Whatever happened to that? Reminds me of Halo.. Do FPS' like that still exist?

This is what got me out of FPS' to begin with...

Anyone getting Prey next week?

Game looks good, and it's Bethesda. I need to finish ME:A first before I buy it though.

The fact that they're not releasing the demo on PC doesn't exactly instill confidence in me that it won't be yet another shitty PC port, so I'm playing wait and see with this one.

Read this story a bit ago. Fucking depressing. No One Lives Forever was a fantastic series, and it's ridiculous that it can't be brought back because none of the companies that may own the rights to it know whether or not they own the rights, are unwilling to figure it out, and thus won't participate. They're basically being offered free money and are turning it down.

Looks like an amazing game... Kinda weird that I never played it, I don't even remember it... WTF??

I remember those two games fondly. They were hilarious and a lot of fun as well. I think I might pirate them and see if I can get them to work. No doubt some valiant modders somewhere have put in the work to get them running on modern operating systems. Just a shame no one who might own the rights is interested in free money.

If I were the studio that was interested in remastering them, I'd just start fucking doing it and doing it very publicly. Then when I got the cease and desist, I'd tell them to dig up the paperwork to prove they owned it before I ceased anything. Once they did that (assuming they could even find the paperwork), then I'd try to work out a deal with them to remaster it. Probably the only way you'd get those lazy fucks to figure out who owns the rights.

Thought I was the only one who played NOLF. Great games.

Given how well the Homeworld remasters have sold, I'd say there's a market for early 2000's games that we all thought we were the only ones who played. :chuckle:

Just watched some Prey gameplay. First thing that came to mind was Bioshock. Looks really good.

It's also made by the people who made the Dishonored games, so it will probably be good. My only concern is that the PC port is probably going to be dog shit for a month before they get around to fixing it.

Homeworld. What a blast from the past. I'll never forget

emerging from hyperspace and seeing the planet burning to Adagio for Strings.

Yes I just put spoiler tags on a 20 year old game.

I think the remastered Homeworld collection is going to be the next game I play. I just finished Darksiders 2 and right now I'm getting through Sniper Elite V2, mostly because my buddy bought me Sniper Elite 3 so we could play the co-op and I got the second game for free ages ago so figured I might as well play it. Plus, after Darksiders 2 I needed a short game because that motherfucker was a marathon.

Awesome game. Was the first time I ever played anything Multiplayer. Blew my mind.

I really need E3 to come soon. I'm itching for some new games big time.

Close to finishing Andromeda but I want some fresh new IP's.
