Trade Deadline - Feb 8 at 3:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In my opinion nothing is saving this season...be smart keep Cedi and the pick...don't make stupid moves just to do something we will regret it...

I don't necessarily disagree, just stating what I think is the cold harsh reality.

At the very least we can make the George Hill trade. And I'm sure we can pull something else off without relinquishing the BKN pick, but I doubt it does much to move the needle.

Utah beating the Clippers is good.

IF we want DJ then as many losses by the Clips as possible in the next two weeks us ideal. They may look to move him no matter what, but them streaking tiwards the playoffs could either change their mind or make them more firm in their high demands

If the Thunder and Rockets keep giving GS enough problems...

Crazy at it might seem as @cavsfever pointed out if we had this depth + Kyrie instead of IT/Crowder (Cedi gets mins) things could be interesting.

Cavs are awful right now, but a few moves, get closer to the playoffs we'll get it figured out.

I'm just trying to think of a trade that compensates for IT's lack of defense especially on the floor with Love.

Kyrie wasn't good at defense either, but it wasn't that easy to shoot over him and when he did switch it wasn't an automatic layup. Also his finishing ability actually helped our slow team get points and also not have to worry points the other way off a miss.

Idk. I think the west could at least make GS sweat a little, but damn its tough when we have 3 to 4 weak defenders (LeBron as well) on the court to start games.

If we go down the road of Kemba and Batum, I would try to keep IT3 out of that deal just in case. If the clippers decide to move on from DeAndre, bring in IT and his smaller cap hold could be a quick retool for them. They could use Patrick Beverley as trade bait to clear cap space for a possible max salary slot. Doc could even convince Austin to opt out and resign for a multi-year MLE. Blake, Gallo, IT, and possibly another max player could be interesting enough to make the trade with us.

Man, can you imagine what any player traded here would be thinking right now? I'm going to a team that can't win even With LeBron James?

I end the horrid IT experiment ASAP, any way we can. Never thought it was a good idea, and if we can find a taker, we have one less problem on the defensive end.

If keeping the BKN pick is the aim then this is what I would do to give this team a realistic chance (or at least a 20-30% better chance than currently constructed).

Lopez for TT and Clev 1st
Hill will be a salary dump by the Kings so you probably get him for cheap.

IT/Rose
Hill/Wade
LeBron/Crowder
Love/Green/Frye
Lopez/Frye/Love

Lopez is a legit 7 footer who while not a great rebounder is a great finisher and has elite defensive numbers around the rim for the last few years. Frye should've never been moved out of the rotation. He would be a good C tandem with Lopez.

Jr Smith out of the rotation completely or traded in the Hill deal. Shumpert of the rotation completely or traded in the Hill deal. Love only plays C again in spurts against a team like the Warriors to get Draymond off him, etc (not a full game - memo to Lue)

That team has good size, slashing ability and 3 point shooting with at least 5 guys that can handle the ball reliably. A lot more versatile and better defensively. Come on Koby, this can't be too hard to pull off...

I think they are good moves, but still. At best it’s a 5 gamer against Golden State.

I think you have to start Wade in that instance. Rose/Hill is better floor balance.

Again the hope is that the Thunder plays up to their potential and takes them 6 games and Houston being on fire takes them 7 games.

It was a cakewalk for them last year. If they can sweat just a little it makes things easier for us. However, its important LeBron, Love (IT instead of Kyrie) play as well as they did last year.

A fresh Warriors team vs. a fresh Cavs team = Warriors in 5.

A banged up and tired Warriors team I'll take my chances.

If we make finals this year. We’ll likely be banged up and tired too. No way we cakewalk through east like we did last year either. That’s if we make it through to finals
