Yup...Or maybe they realize that JJ is at his highest value and has hands of stone. He is no better then a 4th option on a decent team…get what you can for him.

JJ is anything but proven.
His holes are too similar to Drew Gooden and there were plenty of people very high on him..look how he panned out.
While it takes time for a big to develope if he has below average instincts ,which I am pretty certain is his main flaw, then he's got a low ceiling.
I would not mind getting an unprotected pick in 2013.

I would imagine since we can get Miami's first round pick in 2013, they'd much rather get a 2012 pick. Plus, the 20th pick in next years draft might be the equivalent of having a top 8 pick in this years draft.
I wouldn't say that's accurate in most cases...A forth option on the floor is primarily relegated to a role player (which JJ is)..Someone that can maybe run the floor, finish on a pick and roll or cleanup something at the rim...Let me get this straight...you think that JJ is a good 4th option on a decent team? You do realize that a 4th option on a decent team is a good player usually...right?
JJ is worth a lot more than "what you can get for him."

I mean you can have four talented players--maybe one is a sixth man or something ? But in most cases the "4th" option isn't really even an option at all...
JJ is not really an option so when I think 4th option I think of a role player...Which is what he is...Nobody really puts in a ton of time to scheme for him..Hell, he's more than capable of defending himself...:chuckles:

You're not getting it..not talking about style of play but mentally able to figure things out.Gooden could never get the D down and Hickson resembles that also.Gooden and Hickson are two entirely different players (styles).

I see a player that doesn't really react well to defensive assignments and knowing where to be,how to guard his man.

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like the Timberwolves, Cavs and Jazz are all very active in looking to trade down.
Let's make a blockbuster trade to land 1, 2, 3, 4
