Trade Discussions - Pistons/Wolves/Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I could make so many jokes about this..Mr.Potato head wants to make a deal..they want Andy..lovely...just what are they gonna give up?

What about some unprotected future 1st rounders when the Lakers on the decline 3 years from now when Kobe, Odom and Gasol are on the downside of their careers

Andrew Bynum, of course....

No, not really. Maybe Luke Walton...

I have no clue. The only guy I would even want from that team is probably Bynum. No one else really interests me.

Whatever way you look at it, it really seems like the Cavs are the team the most interested in the 2nd pick. We have the pieces to get it, just will probably depend how much we value Varejao and whether we can get anything else in return as well as the pick.

The issue seems to be that we don't have the pieces to get the 2nd pick unless we get a third team involved.

Well if the Cavs were to deal AV,they would have to take a big @ 4..they would have no one to start at center.
And I mean no one.
Hollins..yuk..

Amherstcavsfan :

Maybe they want us to smoke some crack and take Shannon Brown back.

Hell, we don't even have to make a trade to get Brown back. We could just sign him.

I can tell you one thing, I've wanted...Trey Johnson and Theo Ratliff for a long time...

Per @WindhorstESPN report on @Cavs trading JJ Hickson. They insist they will get multiple picks or a player. Want unprotected pick in 2012

I think we could get a 1st rd pick for 2012 for Hickson. 2nd half of the season he averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds a game.

If the Lakers want Andy, would a 3-team deal based on Andy to LA, Bynum to MIN, and the no. 2 to CLE be good? There would be more pieces involved, just throwing out a general idea. Wolves would get a center who can put up 18-10 if he got more touches in LA and also plays good defense. A shot blocker in the middle serving as a good complement to K-Love. Lakers get their guy in Andy, and we get the no. 2 pick. I just don't know who the other teams would trade in addition to make salaries work. We'd have to take on players from both teams probably.

So it does appear the Cavs want to deal JJ.

So does this mean have might have a tentative deal in place for pick #2?

Why would we trade a proven young PF, unless we think we have a very good shot at picking Williams? Or, maybe we think we can get a franchise player in 2012?

JJ is anything but proven.
His holes are too similar to Drew Gooden and there were plenty of people very high on him..look how he panned out.
While it takes time for a big to develope if he has below average instincts ,which I am pretty certain is his main flaw, then he's got a low ceiling.

Or maybe they realize that JJ is at his highest value and has hands of stone. He is no better then a 4th option on a decent team…get what you can for him.

As hard as it may be, its probably the best time to deal JJ. Should have done the same with Sasha a few years back.

I would not mind getting an unprotected pick in 2013.
