I think it was a non-contact injury no?
So.. it may have still happened..
Completely different reality bro. Butterfly effect bro.

Gay just tore his achilles.
I only went back a few pages, so I'm sure this was already talked about at length, but is there more of a perfect three-way trade scenario that makes perfect sense for all 3teams then the one being pondered about with the Cavs, the Kings, and the Timberwolves??
The Wolves :
-without question have Rubio on the block. They have expressed specific interest in Iman Shumpert
Back in October. They just recently said in return for Rubio they are looking for a combo guard who can start now and eventually back up Dunn. This is describing a young Iman Shumpert to a T.
Cavs:
- Need a backup PG, a vet big to replace Anderson, and if the right player came along, an elite wing, preferably a 3 who can spell Lebron without much drop off. Although Rubio for Shumpert makes sense for the Wolves, it doesn't for the Cavs because it creates a larger weakness filling for another. Losing Shumpert along with losing any ability to acquire another wing would make the Cavs much worse if jus adding Rubio. They can add a backup pg through free agency buyouts.
Kings
-Need and are looking for a pg. ----Have been linked to and like Iman Shunpert, but many feel they prefer a point guard.
-Aren't a match with TWolves because they don't possess the combo guard of worth to make a deal. TWolves have no interest in Gay whose north of 30 years old, isn't a fit with their young studs, and is most likely just a rental prior to free agency.
-Divak love euro players. Bodes Weill with potential interest in Rubio and Cedi Osman.
To Wolves: G: Iman Shumpert
To Kings: PG Ricky Rubio and rights to Cedi Osman
To Cavs: SF Rudy Gay
1) Wolves get the exact player they are looking for in Shumpert. He's exactly what they are described in looking for.
2) Kings get their future PG who also happens to be a euro for what essentially could end up being nothing if Gay walks come free agency, which is a foregome conclusion. Cedi Osman is the sweetener, another top euro prospect. The Kings want Rubio but need the Cavs to provide the value to the TWolves to facilitate the trade. The Wolves need the Kings to get the player they covet because Gay is what move the needle for Cle.
Cleveland
-Gets the elite backup 3 in Gay they have coveted for years. Shumpert has become expendable because once JR Smith comes off the IR, and now with the addition of Korver, Shumpert becomes the 3rd SG and is making almost 10 million per season.
One of the most sensible 3way trade I've seen relative to the Cavs in awhile where no one is getting smoked. Many could argue that Gay is worth more, but he's not with his free agency status. The King's simply risk losing him for nothing. Getting their future PG is a hell of a deal for them.

He's like the dude in the movies who manages to scrape together all the cash for the bad guys by the deadline but gets shot in the head anyways.Heh, get a load of this guy

Ugh. Windy was on ESPN radio yesterday morning. He said Cleveland had their eyes on PJ Tucker, thinks Phoenix wanted a first rounder for him, and the FO essentially chose Korver over him by making that trade.
I like Korver but what the hell. The point of getting Tucker would've been to guard KD or Draymond. Is Korver expected to do that...?
Also since when P.J Tucker was considered such a great versatile defender? I'm pretty sure someone posted he was average to slightly above average?
Tucker is an elite defender. This season he's holding isolation scorers to FG% and EFG%'s of 24.4 and 26.8 respectively. His pick and roll defense is also good.
Here's his career shot chart:
Most of his threes are corner threes and he hits them at decent percentages. Those go up with LeBron.
Thank God Gay tore his achilles. This trade would have had me on suicide watch.I only went back a few pages, so I'm sure this was already talked about at length, but is there more of a perfect three-way trade scenario that makes perfect sense for all 3teams then the one being pondered about with the Cavs, the Kings, and the Timberwolves??

It is nice to know we were interested though. I think we made the right decision because it is a possibility that Tucker could get bought out anyway so we could possibly have both. And who knows if we would have been able to get rid of Mo, or been able to get back a new TPE for Tucker. I'm guessing no. Which we accomplished all of those things and getting Korver with a 1st. We made the smart move. And if Tucker doesn't get bought out, I'm sure we can find a decent defensive forward that will get bought out.Ugh. Windy was on ESPN radio yesterday morning.
