Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember when he started next to Bynum back in Fall of 2013. While he wasn't close to all-star level, he was developing parts of his game, like his floater, while trying to improve at shots from further out (even if he wasn't great at it). Because of the work he put in early on, he averaged 12 and 9 for a few years.

He's no young Anderson Varejao (who also worked on his game back then), because he lacks Andy's high B-Ball IQ. On the other hand, he understands his limits and sticks to the things he does best (like offensive rebounding, drawing fouls, and effort). He also minimizes the things he can't do. Ben Wallace knew how to make an impact on both sides of the ball and was an all-star because of it (and he was bad at almost everything on offense, except dunks).

At least this is what he did before being irrelevant the last few years. There is one thing I'll say for certain: He's no Tyrus Thomas (who he was projected to be by some people early on; I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not).

That's why I'll give him a chance to start the season. He was my favorite player for almost 5 years (the effort he showed helped us get the title). Now he needs to show us a few things:

  • Can he stay healthy?
  • Does he still have the fire in his belly?
  • Is he more as a player than the hard-working, high-motor guy he was when playing next to LeBron?
  • Or will all this be moot, because of the Kardashian Curse?

This could be it for him as a Cav, since we now have other promising big men who could earn TT's playing time this season.

Keep your expectations lows, TT is what he is he’s not going to develop an offensive game all of a sudden just because LeBron and Kyrie left

I was completely over the guy until he clocked @DonkeyLips. Now he's rightfully become a bit of a cult hero. I still want him gone though. If he can redeem some of his value and we can get more than a used jock strap back for him, all the better.

As for him and Dwight Howard becoming 3 point shooters? :ok::jerkoff:

Dying at "@Donkeylips"

that should be Draymond's Twitter handle. @Donkeylips or @DonkeyGreen23

It is probably unfair to donkeys, which are actually pretty cool creatures. My apologies to all the donkeys out there.

TT getting flack for kissing his baby on the neck. It is ok to kiss a baby
