Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Color me skeptical of using the Lebron approved option at coach.

Spo is the only coach he's ever had that had the authority (with management backing him and putting Rich in his place) to stand up to him, and in doing so Lebron played the best basketball of his life and won his only titles.

Putting in an unproven yes man in a win or bust year just seems like it is bound to blow up.

I'm interested to see if Lue is scrutinized just as harshly as Blatt was. I'm wondering if the press will be more hesitant to go after him, partly because he's African-American, and partly because he's more connected to LeBron and a media person probably doesn't want to piss off LeBron.

Blatt just seemed like such an easy target because he was an outsider and no one really went to bat for him outside of maybe Griffin...and now Griffin has fired him...

So do I move up in rank now? Ive been pretty innovative and accurate on here as of late! This is great timing.Way to have balls recognize the real issue correct it,and move on.I like that it was done before the break!

While a lot of us are disappointed @ Blatt's firing, I feel it is a tad bit unfair to unload our frustration on Tyron Lue and in this thread. All I have to say is good luck Lue, Hopefully you are able to be the gel that can hold the team together and make us play team basketball.

Really?

Care to elaborate?

Lue obviously wasn't the head coach, but I was trying to make a small joke about how Lue played such a big role on the team that he seemed like a head coach at times. Lue would do a lot of play calling, handled most of the pep talks, and did all of the tackling whenever another coach tried to call a timeout that the team didn't have. So promoting Lue to the top position on this team is less disruptive than promoting just about any other assistant coach in the league.

Whether that equates to new ideas we haven't seen before, I guess we'll know shortly.

Ok, Ty... here's the clipboard.

Now, go find a way to get through the conference (easy part) and beat either San Antonio or Golden State four out of seven games.

Good luck.
