Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Why on earth give him a multi-year deal off the bat before he coaches a game?

If we don't win it this year I would much rather have our options open for a new coach in the summer.
Because he has been with us for a while now and apparently we like him?

Wow. Pretty shocking. And i agree why a multi year deal?

LeBron has clamored for a player-coach for years and only speaks to Lue on the sidelines as seen in almost every single game. That's why.

If we don't win a title this year then this thing needs to be blown up anyway. This is just un-necessarily tying yourself to an unproven coach, and will make the organization look that much worse if they have to fire him.

It's obvious now that Love was telling Blatt to look in the mirror. I read that Love told Israel media it was either Him or Love last week.

I'm just shocked and a bit confused as to why Blatt was let go today. The Cavaliers are first in the division and well over .500...what's the deal? Yes, the writing was on the wall when he'd look to Lue for play calling (as previously mentioned).

Now with Lue's multi-year deal...this better have an opt-out after 1 year..in case this decision went to shit. It's a trend in baseball right now, why not in basketball?

I will say this, offensively this team should be otherworldly. That shit with Love's use the last two months was ghastly and something needed to change, this team has was too much talent to be having these offensive struggles.

Our record means nothing, Cavs fan should know this after our 66 win year

We turned the corner with Love the last two games though, supposedly.

Because that's the icing on a total bullshit decision. His knowledge and influence was already in the organization. Cavs are not getting anything beyond what they had. Very interesting to see what happens now with Cavs season. I'm very worried this was a terrible decision. Blatt was a scapegoat and the hiring of Lue doesn't address anything

Yeah which is why this move is puzzling, but if Blatt has to take a GSW beat down to remind him to use one his best offensive players something is wrong.
