Amare trade. They all would of been over the moon just to be in contention for him, but then when he was off the table that surely would have stopped the Championship celebrations at least for now.

But the big trade fell through yesterday. Did Amare just get taken off the block yesterday or was he never really off the block. Maybe Amare maybe something else big but I can't wrap my mind around who.

The other item of note was the trade that got rescinded. That happening reopened a couple doors that had just been closed. So, some possiblities still exist in that picture.

A potential Smith buyout, of course. But other interesting possibilities, too.

Perhaps Posey from NO, as Windhorst wrote about last night, if NO needs to trade new players to shed salary.

Various OKC players including one that now hasn't been traded (Wilcox).

And using OKC as a 3rd team in a deal.

Convincing the Clippers to take Chandler (he'd fit in, he's injured) in a 3-way deal for Camby. Okay, that's a bit farfetched...

The Camby/Salmons/Miller thing confuses the heck out of me as well, but agree that as it's repeated twice it's unlikely a mistype. Probably a 3 team deal that fell through.

I hope that the dejection is not something that sticks around. Remember last year. Nothing was going to happen the night before when Ferry went to bed and then we ended up with a HUGE trade!

I will hold out hope for RJ or SOMETHING.... ;-)

I read somewhere that th Kings wanted the Bulls to take MIKKI MOORE instead of SALMONS because the KINGS were going to trade SALMONS in another side deal probably with us. I read realgm and hoopshype this morning, it's prob on there.

From the sounds of it, we misewell stick with what we have. It doesn't seem like we are going to be able to make a move for a big name/ big talent and bringing someone like Hinrich in here wouldn't really do much in my opinion. If Wally keeps playing the way he has and hits his open shots I actaully think he is more vauluable. I really think we are underestimating Delonte's role on this team, when we are healthy I think we will be unstoppable again, as long as Z stays healthy and keeps in inside/outside game going, I think we can take down the Lakers or Celtics. I'm all for bringing in someone like a Amare, Camby, Butler, Jamison, or Wallace because I think that would be a huge change, but I don't think we make a move just to make a move.

I agree Damage I think everyone is waiting around ready to pounce on any rumor, but right now this appears to be the calm before the storm. around lunch time I expect things to become hot and heavy.

Additionally I wonder if the deal front office was disappointed about was a possible 3 way with the wizards.

Time to go back to "work"

I think it will be a smaller deal.

When people are saying get POSEY if they are trying to shed salary, I'd rather have Chandler. It's weird though that OKC stole him though, something must be wrong other than a weird looking big toe.

Cavaliers Want Posey From Hornets?

The Cavaliers have long been interested in Hornets forward James Posey, who they coveted in free agency last summer.

New Orleans has said all along that they want frontcourt depth in any trade, which is exactly what they received in the rescinded Tyson Chandler trade, but Cleveland doesn't have any spare bigs to deal for Posey.

NBA Memo Scaring Off Potential Trade Buyers?

The NBA sent out a league-wide memo on Wednesday to teams warning them of decreases in the salary cap and luxury tax levels over the next two years.

“They’re scaring the crap out of the people,” one Western Conference executive told Yahoo! on Wednesday night. “There were already not enough buyers in this market, and after seeing that [memo], there are even less now.”

The market could become saturated with top talent this summer.

“You’re not going to believe the number of players that will be out there [on the trade market],” he said. “But I don’t know how many teams will be willing to take them on.”

First of all, you're sick. I wouldn't want a 3 way with 2 wizards. :chuckles:

Secondly, I think you're right. I fully believe Jamison + fillers was on the table and the office got bucked by the Bulls.

A guy I wouldnt hate seeing on our squad that we haven't mentioned is Anthony Parker. Nice contract (over after this year), can stroke the j, and plays decent defense.
