Wallace, Wally, Delonte, Joe Smith to Cavs

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Hope this article's source wasn't our thread here on RCF about it...:chuckles:

But yeah, that would be a great deal giving us some flexibility in a couple of years and also an immediate talent upgrade, without sacrificing defense. And we retain the best parts of our bench - Gibson, AV, Jones and Brown.

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Heath isn't an insider writer is he ???

I might reinstate him for an hour to get his answer and then send him back to Cuba on his little milk carton...

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Here's a question that someone might have a decent answer to:

Why has Brian Cardinal fallen out of favor so quickly in Memphis? Is it because of the other guys they have there like Warrick and Darko? I mean, the guy can't be that bad, can he?

I see he played in 36 games in 05-06 and only 28 in 06-07, injuries?

Would he be someone that could lay 10-15 minutes for the Cavaliers?

Buddy

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Don't see why not... He would essentially fill the D-Yell role in terms of stretching the floor from the PF spot...

Might be a bit more productive as well in terms of getting a few quality looks from LBJ...

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

I have a very hard time believing that Cleveland's shi!!y offer is the best one made to Memphis. I would be SHOCKED to see this deal happen, although I would run the streets naked if it did.:chuckles:

Hmmm.... I was kinda hoping this deal worked out for the Cavs.... now... I'm not so sure. By the way, which street do you live on (for future avoidance reference)?

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Would anyone here be opposed to bringing back Darko? Are the Griz really that high on him? He has a pretty hefty contract, in excess of 7 mil I think. If we need another big coming back, we could get him. Throw in another pick w/Snow or something to make it enticing for Memphis... I dunno. Just typing...

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Because you play for now... What if LeBron dies before next season ??? Then we're just royally ******

Why, in the name of Bobby Phills, did you have to type that?

Drennan was in his drive way picking up his all girl lesbian hustler issue titled: Coffee, Cream and Spicy Picante---He asked about our payroll if LeBron checked-out....

So it got me thinking......

Yeah, but who doesn't ??

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

BTW- I have a hard time believing that is the best deal Memphis can find....HOWEVER, if they're that desperate to dump payroll and we're the only ones willing to take Cardinal, this could really work for us.

Taking back Cardinal is the only chance we had at grabbing Mike Miller. Considering the Heat could throw the expiring contracts of Ricky Davis and Jason Williams at them, without taking on a bad contract we didn't really stand a chance.

Include Cardinal, and any potential Heat offer is much less attractive. Not to mention any other deal put together by other teams looking for Mike Millers service..

EDIT: let me backtrack abit, Miami could trade Ricky and Williams for Lowry, Miller, and Cardinal. It works money wise. The only thing really holding back Miami would be taking on Cardinal's contract. Which doesn't seem to bother them considering they just got done taking on Marcus Banks contract.... I'm not sure the Cavs stand much a chance of this working out their way...

This would be incredible.. not flawless but incredible none the less. Get a guard with a ton of upside, the shooter and 2nd scoring option we desperately need and all we have to take back is one bad contract. I think that Cardinal can help us out a little bit too. The guy ain't THAT bad.

Re: Request for ESPN insider article "Help for Cavs in the works?"

Cardinal's contract wouldn't even be the 3rd worst contract on this team, so I'd be fine taking it back. It still expires the same year Hughes and Z come off the books
