Wallace, Wally, Delonte, Joe Smith to Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I had a brush with greatness last night. I swear to Bob this is true. Walt Sr dropped a high five on me last night outside of the weightroom...it must be a family thing. I almost erupted laughing, all I could think about was the "high five" discussions on this board. Actually it wasn't exactly high...it was kind of a 3/4 five. I was hoping he was going to follow through and parlay it into an ass slap, but that didn't happen.:(

DON'T wash your hand yet Max! I will meet you at Papa Johns at 8pm.

absurd statement by jonfromva again. how many Lebrons are there in this league? You are comparable Lebron to Delonte.

Reading is fundamental. You might try reading others posts in the thread before coming to the aid of your favorite player.

Naysmith was comparing LeBron to Delonte and said that West showed he's a better PG - obviously there's no comparison when West doesn't have to face the same sort of defensive pressure.

But not only that. LeBron just being on the court tilts the entire defense allowing anyone who has any aptitude with the ball at all to have his way. West doesn't need more playtime. He doesn't need anyone to do him any favors. All he has to do is be aggressive like he was in this last game and take advantage of an open court (drive, dish, hit shots).

He might actually be worth something if he did that more than once a week.

Delonte West looks like a troll. Actually more like the thing that steals the gold from a Leprchan. No wait he looks like a Leprechaun.

Delonte is an average player (I can talk about this since I have been watching him for years) He has a few great games and then sucks for a month.

I can't say I have as much experience watching Delonte, since you're a Boston fan, but he has actually been consistent for during the regular season... The playoffs? Not so much...

I mean he showed us what he could do when he played very well the last month or so of the season...

I think you also have to realize the kid is only 24 years old and when guys are that young, they're not going to be the most consistent players in the world...

The kid has some very good potential... If he can become comfortable with LeBron and our offense and grow and develop as a player, he could be the PG of the future for us... I really, truly believe that.... He has the skillset that very few PG's have, that fit this team to a "T"...

After games like last night it is definitely hard to deny that there is something very unique about him. He is explosive, CAN break down the defense, can shoot, can defend, and has an innate ability to get the loose ball. He has a tendency to let the game overwhelm him but he has a great opportunity here to shine with this Celtics defense focused on denying Lebron. Mike Brown trusted him more and he is going to gather some confidence from being a big part of our defensive strategy as well as a real anchor for our offense.
