Wallace, Wally, Delonte, Joe Smith to Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wow, Delonte west seems like a pretty weird guy.

Actually just wanted to bump the post count on this thread. It seemed a bit lonely after all the attention yesterday.

First for all those who said the Cavs didn't have the parts to do a deal..WRONG!

It wasn't the Mike MILLER/Bibby/Kidd thing we wanted..but it was a good deal..as least it looks that way..I'm still a bit cautious about it..because of certain things we gave up..peremiter D...but the irony about it is we were slipping on D this year...

And the big winners are.....

Ha, I just read this post. Should I be proud or embarrassed that I posted 140 times? Or thankful that I'm still employed and still married?

Either way, Wednesday night and yesterday were definitely memorable for RCF.

Hahaha I didn't even notice that...

Cleveland people, whats the buzz like around the trade off the net

i live in LA home of the LA kobe fans. I was wondering in cleveland whats the buzz around the trade. like for sports talk shows, what do they think about the trade. and what do the fans think

Re: cleveland people, whats the buzz like around the trade off the net

I'm not trying to be disrespectful at all but the main forum is becoming cluttered with topics that could easily have just been add-ons to previous topics. Your last two topics both could have easily been added to previous discussions.

Re: cleveland people, whats the buzz like around the trade off the net

Bruce drennen of sports time ohio has a tv show that similar to talk radio kinda like mike and mike of espn. He was totally happy with the deal. He believes that our front court is now improved dramatically and he felt that hughes and gooden never lived up to their potential. He took some calls the day of the trade and it was 50/50 positive to negative but he disagreed with all the stupid callers who thought we gave up alot. They obviously dont understand the money issues we were going to face for the next couple years if we didnt make the move. Did you see the game last night on espn, the fans were all clapping for the new players and it was a positive vibe in the building.

Game 3 was played in honor of all of us who had that sleepless night back in February, watching what would happen, packing this thread like no other before or since.

When the dust settled, we were all excited by the promise, and at least for a crucial game, that promise was fulfilled today -- 4 out of 4.

West proved today that he can be a better PG than LeBron. Ok, if that's arguable then let's say that all he needs to do for the rest of the series is win that matchup with Rondo, decisively.

Smith was almost perfect from the field. While he can't have that high a percentage each game, he made the most of his minutes and all his shots came in the flow of the game.

Wally did what he was supposed to do. While he did fade in the second half, he did get open a few times but no. 23 was busy working his side of the floor and ignoring open guys for a stretch of time there.

Ben, about whom many of us were doubtful, showed hops and hustle like he never did since he moved out of Detroit.

Now, here's wishing that James can find his shot again, and that the Cavs will not forget what they learned today...

West didn't prove anything other than he's capable of playing very well at times (remember he had one good game against the Wiz too). If he had to cope with the sort of defenses that are aimed at LeBron - he'd do nothing. He needs to be aggressive like that consistently and I might change my tune about not having a PG on this team, but at the moment the new four seem to be mostly teasing us.

The team has played pretty well at home since the trade. I don't really see this last game as a major turning point. It'd be nice ... but things rarely work that way. They need to repeat the effort in game 4 then pick it up on the road and try to steal that game they should have taken in game 1.

absurd statement by jonfromva again. how many Lebrons are there in this league? You are comparable Lebron to Delonte. thats apples to oranges. If you want to see consistent give him consistent minutes and the ropes to do something. Look at his tenure in Boston when he was given consistent minutes which was his 2nd year and then his 3rd year in the 2nd half of the season. Delonte is a scoring point guard and until Mike Brown realizes this and Delonte too at times, his talents will be wasted by handing off to Lebron and running to the corner.

Delonte West looks like a troll. Actually more like the thing that steals the gold from a Leprchan. No wait he looks like a Leprechaun.

Delonte is an average player (I can talk about this since I have been watching him for years) He has a few great games and then sucks for a month.
