Yes, but enough sources have been saying the idea behind the judge giving a ruling is to keep Goodell from changing. If he does, the playertakes them to court like Brady, but now with an impartial decision that Goodell overturned, and good chance the judge reduces back to original and Goodell takes a public publicity hit.

I have to believe they negotiate with the Judge and the rulling sticks, its just not so simple that Goodell hears the appeal.. the NFLPA agreed to this for a reason, reason being it will be tough for Goodell to just unilatterly change it and have it stick upon court appeal.

I tend to believe the female judge is a so called "curtain" for Roger; don't look behind the curtain!

Who makes the final call on any appeal?

Edit: what are the odds that the judge doesn't issue any suspension?

So articles say the NFL will push for a full season.

The NFLPA will push for none because there is no evidence fitting the punishment to the conduct.

The Judge is a former George H. W. Bush appointee and sounds like she takes her job and professional duties seriously. She will likely share the demeanor of the woman Texas DA that found Baker's testimony disgusting.

I'm going with she recommends about 6 games +/- 1-2. Basically what Roethlisberger got.

Does the number of women accusing Watson matter? Or is it like a logarithmic thing? 5 is the same as 10, which is the same as 20. Open question for all.

I'll go first. I think 10-15 is like 20-25. If the number gets to 50 or something just ridiculous that matters. And that leads to a lifetime ban or 5 years or something. But for now we are in a suspension of number of games, not number of seasons
