James Harden is a pure rules manipulator, he takes a lot of 3s and gets a lot of dumb-ass fouls by manipulating the refs. Pistol Pete played before the 3 point era and before the dumb-ass superstar foul era, there is NO COMPARISON. When they play in heaven under the rules of the basketball gods Pistol Pete will smoke him! Harden will be eating air!

Harden wouldve run over that era and its not close. Milkman and accountants cannot defend the Beard
 
Guys now are too athletic and shoot too well for all these old ass dudes. They’d be eating air all over the place.

First off unlike players of this era players back in the day like Dumars, Cooper, the Glove and other defensive minded players would have taken away Harden’s left hand and he would have struggled big time going right!

They wouldn’t have to worry about the step back because if they’re on top of that left hand like I said they would be that step would be harder to pull off. And his butt would also be on the bench with four fouls in the first half due to his reaching and grabbing trying to stay with the likes of Zeke, Nash, Nixon, KJ, etc.

You get two steps after you pick up a dribble, 2.5 if you count the dribble step. Seems pretty straight forward to me

Anyway we are getting way off track. Point is, Pete Maravich is incredibly overrated and was not a winning basketball player

You get two steps going forward….not backwards. Agree to disagree on Pete. As far as I’m concerned Harden hasn’t WON anything either. Makes him and Pete pretty equal. So his teams have win 50 games? Year and year out (except once) he and his team is bounced in the first or second round. Sounds like Pete’s teams to me!
