Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

I can't think of a player in the association they could add for this pick who'll help them be truly competitive with GS this year, barring injury. I don't even think Anthony Davis and eliminating the overpaid deadwood would be enough.

Well, unless they added Durant...
Its called the Cavs screwing up the drafts that would have allowed for them to have that type of dominance.

If instead of taking TT we get Kawhi or Klay. Instead of taking Waiters you get Drummond. Not trading up for Giannis. Taking Joe Harris over Jokic.

Say what you will about the Warriors but they BUILT their dynasty through the draft and then got the deal of a lifetime.

We could have done the exact same thing. LeBron bandwagon's on a Cavs team that gets at least two of those other possible options.

Durant joining the Warriors wouldn't matter at all if we took care of business in the years LeBron was gone. Or if Waiters/TT ended up much better players.

They should go 1-9 over their next 10 games but with Dinwiddie hitting clutch shots like MJ they'll be 5-5. He'll hit just enough clutch shots all season to keep us from getting one of the top 7 guys. We'll end up getting Ivan Borislav from Bulgaria who needs 2 years before he's ready. Lebron will leave along with IT and they'll trade Love.

Thank you for lifting my spirits this morning, now if we could flip this for
1. Paul George
2. Demarcus Cousins
3. Marc Gasol
4. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

I'd be a happy camper

Well many will say it's hindight..but I do it all the time..looking at players my teams should have taken instead of who they took.
The Cavs drafted for need too many times but also drafted players who had no length or very athletic..
Was Giannis even on their radar?
Waiters was on the HC at that time..but even I wouldn't have taken him.
I and some others do think and said at the time of some of the deals that they should have kept some of those picks they had.
Not saying all of them because some were needed to bring other players in here.
But even in the drafts, they never targeted a defensive wing or interior presence.

According to SAC Kings coach he will be rotating the veterans (Hill, Randolph, Carter) in and out of the lineup for the final 40 games and start playing the younger players a lot more (Fox , Cauley-Stein, Hield etc etc).

The organisation wants to develop the younger talent.

Rumor has it that they were hoping Giannis fell to them with their 2nd pick. Even considered moving up for him.

We could draft better, but almost every other team missed on some opportunities or many of them... I am more disappointed with players (Dion, TT), not nearly developing according to their draft position, if they really maximized their potential, we would be in a lot better shape. Despite being traded sooner, AW and AB fit that disappointing category...

Bad luck or bad psych evaluation? Maybe we don’t know who/how to draft in the lottery...

Griff took responsibility for Bennett. Said he got hoodwinked.

Wiggins was a pretty defensible pick. The Doctors basically said Embiid would be way too risky though I know we would have drafted him #1 otherwise. Plus we also probably knew we were trading that pick if Bron chose us.

Waiters has turned into a decent player. But honestly probably even when he plays well, he seems like more of the #8-12 range he was projected to be in rather than the #4 he was taken at.

Thompson also despite being a whipping boy now, has had major impact in major games and was a big part of winning a championship. Can never take that away from him. Again though...for a guy that went #4...he probably should have gone 10 picks later for what he's turned out to be. But again, at least not a total bust.

As for tonight....

We have..

Minny/Orlando. Though I dont have much hope for the Magic to be better than the Nets...Still will root for them until its mathematically impossible. But a win tonight is unlikely.

Pelicans/Celtics---Guess either way is fine...if the Pels lose/look bad maybe theyll consider trading Boogie...or if he knocks Gentry out(far more likely). But really mainly rooting for misfortune and pain for the Celtics.

Mavs/Nuggets- Hopefully the Mavs can steal this one. Denver despite a lot of talk this off-season is still a fringe .500 team, though they havent gotten anything out of Millsap thanks to his injury. A Mavs win would put them at 16 and only a half game behind the Nets.

Suns/Blazers- Fun match-up between solid backcourts. Need the Suns to win to remain at #7 overall. Plus if the Blazers struggle enough you never know if McCollum could become available or not.

Orlando about to pick up win #13 against the Timberwolves.

Fournier with 32 points. He's a guy I would give Orlando a call about. They're a team that could literally trade anyone. I think he'd look pretty good starting at the 2 for us.

Would y'all trade the Brooklyn pick for Marc Gasol if LeBron commits to stay?

I read somewhere they would be willing to trade anyone not named Aaron Gordon or Jonathan Isaac.
