Please. I feel bad enough already, now this trash is added to this thread.

Wonderful.

I'd still resign him for the vet min. We need bodies for the regular season and he was decent against eastern playoff teams. We're not gonna get anyone better for the vet min.

I've been saying it since after about 5 or 10 games or so of watching Deron play with us... signing him was the worst thing that happened to the Cavs this year.

Our best bench lineup was when we got Derrick Williams and played a big lineup + LeBron at PG. That lineup was crushing teams and Derrick was playing pretty damn good. As soon as Deron came, that lineup was gone and the bench went to shit in my opinion.

I believe this is a classic case of a guy getting playing time solely based on his past achievements and status in the league. No way has he at any point actually deserved to play over Derrick this season. It's bullshit. One of my least favorite Cavs ever. Can't stand watching him play.

Yeah major failure and could have cost us keeping and using Derrick.

Tell us how you really feel lol

But yeah I was so excited to be getting another smart PnR ballhandler and I actually thought hed play so good that wed have to consider starting Kyrie at the 2 to get him on the floor. I even saw some advanced stat that said he was STILL one of the best PnR PGs in the league.

He is so not what I expected. He runs PnR even worse than Kyrie because he does the same worthless dribbling but at least Kyrie looks to score off the pick, Deron just sits there dribbling when he should clearly be attacking the defense with his midrange and drive. Should've just paid Delly. Delly would use the pick at such and angle that his defender was ALWAYS on his hip. Like he was really really good at running the PnR. The way he would run the PnR with TT you basically had to GIVE him the glass floater. Also no one ever trapped him because he was limited offensively so he could run the PnR under no pressure at all.

The money went to Shump and JR and both declined in play when their financial futures became secure. I have a hard time believing Delly would've had the same disease after a payday. From what I hear from Bucks fans, they love the little bastard.

He woke up towards the end, kind-of!

I agree. I think a full off season and season with this team in his role would give him a lot more confidence out there on the court. He's still kind of lost and doesn't know when to be aggressive.

Not saying he hasn't been awful, he has, but he has shown some games that he still has it, and I don't see why he couldn't do well as a backup if he got comfortable with the role over the course of an entire season.

Kudos to whomever it was that performed the Heimlich Maneuver on this guy after Wednesday's game. Somebody keep an eye on him to make sure he's chewing his food properly.

I think him and RJ get better with more games they play on a consistent bases. I think it's a combination of age and the off day mentality older players have vs the younger players. It's like how player use to use the preseason to get in shape but now alot of the league plays and practices all summer so it's not needed. I feel like Deron especially is one of those guys that takes off days off and uses games to get into shape.

I feel like if he stays healthy for a whole season he could regain a good percentage of the player he once was. The thing that scares me is how much his play dropped off from just 6-8 days off between rounds and how it took 3-4 games to regain any of it.

Delly ended up 5th on the Bucks in minutes played in the playoffs, shot 39% from the field and .375 from three range. Just his usual Delly contributions. I never thought it was mandatory to resign Delly after he made that boatload of cash with Milwaukee, but I thought failing to give him a deal in the 4 million a year range in 2015 was a tightwad dick move from ownership.

Id say off the PnR he just needs to come off of them ready to shoot first

Get your flow and if you are shooting too much Bron and Lue will tell you. Because timid, rarely shoots Deron Williams is trash. I wouldn't say start this in game 5 because were already used to him not doing it and it would just fuck us over.

I was listening to the D Will eps of Road Trippin podcast just now, it seems like he's still uncomfortable with his role- mentioned "just sitting in the corer to shoot 3s" twice in a negative tone, and apparently he recently got annoyed at the coaching staff for them asking him to be more aggressive. RJ also mentioned that D Will struggled in fitting into the team culture when he first got here.
