Welcome Larry Sanders and So Long

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It just doesn't make any sense. From start to finish. A lot of unknowns behind closed doors. You sign the guy to 2 years. Lue pulls strings to get him in his first game back. The fans give him the biggest welcome one couldf this s imagine. They never play him for more then couple mins. Let alone play him with the big 3 and then dump him.

I was so far off with my thinking. I knew something was off. My suspicion was just the opposite to what was really happening

Why does Lue become the factor for everything? LeBron and Lue run this team. I am tired of this shit as if we the did not WIN IT ALL LAST YEAR??. The team is taking an odd road to repeat but no traditional road seems to work against (Ahem best regular season team ever) So who fucking cares just enjoy what you pay for and get ready for the play offs. I am so sick of this negative bullshit.

The thing about Sanders that bothered me was that he started talking comeback a full year ago. While I wouldn't expect him to be up to game pace, and expected extreme rustiness, why did he start talking about putting on weight and lifting the past month? There's no substitute for playing, but you can do a lot of lifting and eating in the year he spent talking about coming back. It made me question his commitment and whether he had truly conquered his demons. If you're serious, you aren't coming in scrawny after a year of talking comeback.

Sadly we all knew no matter how much we tried to think this would be possible... It never could have been.

Maybe your just venting lol. Didn't say anything bad about lue. Just saying everything seemed so positive so what don't we know. Take a chill pill. Everything will be fine

Well hopefully no one claims him and we sign him in the offseason. He needs an offseason to get his body ready.

Based on his exit tweets it looks like they parted on good terms. I saw the potential Sanders brings but it's anyone's guess if he'll ever get back to reaching that potential.

Maybe this is crazy but I feel like Sanders might get more minutes than we expect in the playoffs if he can stay on the court without fouling.

Anyone who gets bent out of shape about this is nuts.

Really too bad about what happens to Bogut. That was someone who in a series or two could have given some meaningful minutes. Sanders was always a longshot pipe dream
I surely wasn't..only thing for me is for Griff is to get a center..

I don't think the Cavs picked Larry up for next year only. I'm confident the plan was and still is to use him this year.

I'm going on record right now saying games in the playoffs totaling 15-20 mins.

How many realcavsfan bucks you all want to bet?

Can I still take this bet?

In the full article, Griff is really open about Larry and Edy. The video might be edited for brevity. Not 100% sure

If you read between the lines, the coaching staff and vet players didn't feel like he was mentally or physically prepared to play any in game minutes at all, which really came to a head the three games with TT out.

Griffs says all the right thinks and is nice as he can be re Larry, even hinting that they could still bring him to camp this fall and see where he's at with more prep time, but I doubt that ever happens.

Griff is really open about Larry and Edy in this article(presumably the quote were from media availability before the game today)

Nice summary, I just want to point out that he didn't expressly say anything about the "physical" or "mental" with respect to Sanders -- just a more generic "not ready". I'm not pointing that out to be a turd -- it's just that some folks (including me) were wondering about the mental side of things in particular. This interview doesn't really say anything one way or the other with respect to that.

I didn't watch the video. Read the full article. Definitely some specific or inferred mentions of the mental aspect of his preparedness including being late to one practice, flakiness, and dealing with depression. It was not negative, just frank and mater of fact.

Well Sander's best skill is totally related to timing, which Griff noted was just not on the level necessary to even play him - even with Tristan out.

So if he wasn't going to play in almost any circumstance, might as well cut bait and get someone who at least has a chance to play in case of emergencies. At least Edy is tall and has length to mitigate his lack of foot speed.
