Welcome Larry Sanders and So Long

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It might have been the last straw for all we know. The guy's heart overall might not have been into it.

I don't like how we completely ignored the front court going into the season, but I can give the Cavs a pass here.

Bogut gets bought out, yeah, all is right. We finally have our center that can defend the rim at a high level, hard worker, etc, then literally two minutes he's done for the year.

Who'd have literally thunk that? Without must options left, they turn to Sanders. Completely unreliable as they come but with some proven production/talent/production but with obvious risks.

There's was really no shocker if he just didn't work out. I doubt the Cavs ever had serious high expectations or faith in him.

I am sure they knew Tavares was not going to be play off ready and that is why they gambled on Sanders first because he has played in the NBA and knew what it took and if he could put in the work and that is what he failed to do from what I hear. This is going to sound bad but he came pre mature (you know what I mean)

A guy out of NBA shape, out of the league the last few years, pot head, and well, just a weird dude that takes on the Dennis Rodman persona in this era without the talent to back it up.

Tried to catch lightning in a bottle. Didn't work, wasn't working, they probably figured out it was never going to work, and here we are.

Now they are onto their next lightning strike with the new dude, hoping they hit with him.

Glad we cut ties ASAP if we didn't believe in the guy or his ability to contribute at any point over the course of the contract we gave him.

Tavares had played in the NBA more recently than Sanders, Snarly.

Plus, Tavares has been playing all year...Sanders was only playing for the few weeks we had him after we signed him. Guessing it was actually the opposite of what you said. They knew Sanders wasn't going to be ready for the playoffs, if he was ever going to be ready period, so they moved on to someone who has actually been playing basketball the last few years.

Yeah that makes sense and I did kind of forget he played meaningful minutes before. Well I like the move even better now. Because you are right and they have plans for him then he could help more than I think.

No reason why they couldn't sign Sanders again if he looked good after the summer if it really was just about him not being able to contribute anything meaningful. Tavares has already done more in 24 minutes than Sanders did for a month.

If it really was because of him being a dumbass then good riddance. It was never going to work, as much as we were all hoping that it might. A Sanders that could put up numbers like he did in Milwaukee would have truly made this team hard to beat. But alas, C'est la guerre.

That's a crock of shit stirred by Jason Lloyd, the constant Cavs apologist. So you're going to feed the media a bunch of hoopla about providing support for Sanders, being there through the thick and thin and developing him for the following year, but immediately sever ties when the guy's late for a bus???

The simple answer here is that Griffin fucked up the front court rotation this year.

Why is it a crock of shit? The dude had mental issues and was a problem the first time he left the league. Now two months in he's missing busses and looks like shit on the court.
They took a flyer and it didn't work out. Its on Sanders if he'll ever play again in the league.

A Bus

Still didn't stop us from having fun, which is what a safari is for...another thing you having your head so far up your own ass is stopping you from ever doing on the board...
I'm having the hap, hap, happiest RCF time since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye.

Mostly a rehash of the missed bus incident and Griff's interview:

I told you guys he was a flake and when I saw how far off he was on the court I really thought this was the only way this could possibly end. It was worth a flyer but at the end of the day if a guy isn't playing at an NBA level and isn't doing all the little things to support the team its time to go. I doubt Tavares will help much but if we do see Toronto in round 2 we may need an extra body to deal with Val. I think that is all this is.
