I just want to see what some of you honestly think here. I mean, so many of you are saying none of the players that the Knicks can offer are worth Varejao, so I'm interested to see the names that some of you think Varejao is worth in a deal.

Thaddeus Young has been mentioned. I wouldn't worry about it because we won't trade Andy unless we get a player that we can actually build around. That's how it should be.

Andy for George Hill and Tiago Splitter
I think Andy would be a perfect fit with the Spurs. Andy could shut down Gasol or at least contain him and even get SA past the Lakers. Plus I think George Hill and Tiago Splitter could possibly be a really good fit here. With missing out on Gortat, getting Splitter would be huge. We could then draft Sullinger (if available), and go from there with Hill, Boobie, Sullinger, and Splitter. Bring JJ off the bench or trade him, (I don't think he'll ever be who we want him to be). Hollins is a solid back-up Center for 10-15 mins a game.

We would obviously not be very good again the year after, but that would be a solid young core, with every player improving each year, to build with. Then if we could somehow luck out and get Rivers in the 2012 draft, it's all over, our team is set. Hill/Rivers backcourt, Boobie 6th man. Sullinger/Splitter frontcourt, with Hollins plus more depth up front (another PF). Then it honestly wouldn't even matter who our SF was, it could be Eyenga by that time, or somebody like a Trevor Ariza type player, to play defense and hit three's.

Yeah I know this is a dream scenario, but this is what I hope for. It takes this trade(maybe a few fillers to match salaries), top 5 2011 pick, then 2012 #1 overall pick and by 2013-2014, we are contending for a title or at least know we are going to for years to come and hope a Portland Trailblazers doesn't happen to us.

I think it's in Cleveland's long term best interest to deal Andy. He's just too valuable in the NBA to let him rot on a team like this. The best approach for the Cavaliers is to sit back and let people come after him. Teams like the Knicks, Pacers, Hawks, Magic, Thunder, Jazz, Nuggets, Trailblazers, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs and Rockets all would have a large interest in him and the ability to broker a deal. If he goes it'll probably be part of a large deal where a 3rd team is invovled.

Exactly - give them all no choice but to outbid each other, netting us the most talent/picks possible.

Andy is the one player on the Cavs that can net a good package such as a pick, young player, and expiring. The Cavs biggest priority should be to stockpile as many future picks as possible. The reason the Knicks are a bad trade partner is because they currently have no picks to deal.

Picks are important but can't be the only thing you obtain. If we can get promising young players sometimes that's better than a 1st round pick in the mid 20s.

Did he fuck your wife? What is the rush to trade him? If someone offers up a high lottery pick, sure you do it, but his game is similar to a guy like Dennis Rodman that he isn't going to fall off a cliff at 32. He could play at a high level for 10 more years. I know he doesn't fill up the stat sheet, so most you think he sucks, but I'm not in a hurry to get rid of a player of his caliber.

I like the Tiago Splitter and George Hill Idea, but other than that...you know what really sounds good?

KEEPING VAREJAO AND BOOBIE ...the heart and soul of our team and fan favs.

seriously i will be devastated if we trade them. period.

Galinari would have to be involved in a Knicks deal, but I think you would have to get a pick somewhere too. It would be nice to get a center, but I doubt that happens. I would do it for Cousins, but I only saw that one game we played against the kings. He did some things I have only seen soft Euro centers do, but he still looked tough.

Kevin Durant.

good luck with that.

AV isn't worth Cousins.

I don't understand the fascination with Splitter/Hill either. Need to go younger...

I'm not even sure I would take Cousins unless we are supremely confident in Byron Scott's ability to knock the knucklehead out of him. The dude is completely out of control right now in Sacramento and he hasn't really even done anything. If people think J.J. is a handful ego-wise with little to show for it, they should take a peek at Sacramento's debacle right now.
