I see too many questions marks across the roster to assume the team will be any good next year. But most importantly, Hue Jackson is a truly awful coach. He probably costs the team 2-3 games by himself, and to a lesser extent Gregg Williams.
OL - Has talent and experience, but LT is still a question mark as to how well it's filled by Bitonio/Corbett/whomever. JT is irreplaceable.
QB - Certainly improved by Tyrod alone. At a bare minimum we should see mediocre QB play, which is a massive upgrade. Who knows when/how well Baker steps in.
WR - Landry is a good add. Otherwise, massive uncertainty between Gordon, Coleman, rookies. It's a better unit, but how much better is wide open.
RB - Unquestionably better. Hyde is a marginal upgrade, but Chubb should be highly productive in year 1.
TE - Counting on improvement from Njoku here and little else.
On defense...
DL - Looks dangerously thin, and frankly bad if Garrett misses time. Going to need a lot of internal growth from the young guys.
LB - Again, looks thin. One injury and this unit goes from solid to bad pretty quick. I think Joe is pretty overrated.
CB - Hard to see this group not being massively improved with all the additions.
S - Again, more question marks. I expect SS to be filled ably by Peppers/Kindred. Randall at FS is a relative unknown. Little depth. And as always, the Gregg Williams wildcard.
Just based on the talent currently on the roster I would expect 6-8 wins. After adjusting for Hue, we're looking at 4-5 wins.
