One can never tell if there things are true.

Sir Christopher Lee was actually a champion fencer and world-class golfer who often held his own against the likes of Jack Nicklaus at Pro-Am tournaments.

Not the same level, but this story is also true

Went out to eat this weekend and this classic came on in the restaurant. Also happens to be the song where Barry Gibb learned he could sing falsetto.

Unlike the BeeGees and those annoyingly whiny falsettos, Jon Anderson of Yes sang all his high notes in full voice, never falsetto.

Check out at about 9:30.

What do you have agains falsetto? The vocals in these songs are fantastic, and the songs wouldn't be as good without it.

And isn't at all just Barry Gibb who made great use of falsetto:

Because it is singing high artificially, by using only the edges of the vocal cords rather than the full voice. It lacks the normal vibration, resonance, and power of full voice. I think that makes it rather annoying to listen to because it lacks depth and dynamic range.

If I want to listen to higher vocal ranges, I'd much rather listen to a female voice than a guy singing falsetto.

It's just a different kind of vocal power that can add emotion to songs. Prince was a master at that
