i dont see any trade involving Kyrie unless we get two first rounders back. I would consider a Rondo trade if it contained both boston firsts 2014 and 2015 to start with. Any other players would have to equal out on both sides.

For clarity, I would use this years boston pick and trade the 2015 pick to get a decent center.

So the thing is that you wont be able to trade Kyrie to any team that he doesnt think is a good idea for him. So that means New York, Brooklyn, LAL, LAC, Miami, Possible OKC, Possible Houston, Possible Boston. But of these, Boston has the best assets.

When you trade a player of Kyries ability, you should get two firsts period. Bostons first is good, but not good enough to be a straight trade. So you get two Firsts from boston or slam the door.

If you did that deal, you would use the boston first to pick up Randle or Van Lieigh, then trade the 2015 with our 2016 and Deng sign and trade attached to Memphis for Gasol (or a similar trade) If you had this lined out you pick Wiggins or parker first. I have not done the math in terms of cap space, but you still have Jack, Gee, AV, CJ to clear space for a major signing, and Tristan and Bennet as bargaining chips. Even signing a Haywood type player might be enough.

Line up would be

Dion, Rondo, Delly
Haywood, Wiggins,CJ, Dion,Rondo,Delly
Wiggins, haywood, Cj
Tristan,Bennet,AV
Gasol, Van Liegh, AV Zeller

and there is still Felix and Karsarev to consider.

I personally think that is a lineup that can compete for a title in a couple years, and for more than a year in a row.

The negative would be the possibility we would havevto face a Kyrie/Love combination in Boston...

The frustrated owner who wants more "win now" moves isn't trading Kyrie Irving for two first rounders unless Kyrie Irving starts making YouTube videos of himself smoking meth and taking dumps on pictures of Dan Gilbert's family.

I'm going to need a compelling reason to keep the thread open... aside from schadenfreude.

Just so everyone knows I thought I would share that article with everyone. I wasn't able to provide the link for the article. So I just cut an paste it.

Just want to make sure that we have people saying they wouldn't trade Waiters, Thompson, and a 2015 1st for Kevin Love?

The faith in our players that have shown to be nothing more than mediocre is incredible.

You do the first trade every time. Minnesota would never, ever do that. We are keeping our 2 most valuable assets in that deal.

Damn straight I wouldn't do the first trade. I am not trading Dion in a deal for a ONE YEAR RENTAL of Kevin Love. Not happening. That is not a long term move. Impatient fans, or owners, do that. Let some other team pay for the privilege of seeing him walk at the end of the year, along with the assets they spent on him.

You need to ask yourself this question honestly. If we were to make that trade for him, would we win a title during the time he was on this team?

If we got Rondo AND Marc Gasol & STILL had Dion, Thompson, Bennett and AV you can bet we are going after Kevin Love And Kevin Martin, we would be including picks too(Won't have cap room for Haywood after all your trades).

Rondo/Delly
Martin/Karsev/
Wiggins/Vet (Pierce, since we have Rondo)
Love/Vet (Pau Gasol)
Gasol/Zeller

We would probably include Jack in Boston trade as Kyrie is better than Rondo by a bit.

--Now with all this, I still disagree trading Kyrie, but if you have too..this is one of the better scenarios for us to start winning. Rondo has 3 long range shooters in Martin, Wiggins and Love & a great P&R guy in Gasol.

I would trade this thread for the 5 minutes of my life I cant get back.
