Who would YOU draft?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

A bunch of draft-related questions. Sorry it's confusing.

Porter and Len don't have to have much talent to be all stars. Joakim Noah and Brook Lopez, Paul George and Luol Deng were all stars. Guys that clearly aren't franchise players. The center and small forward positions are pretty weak talent wise. I think Porter has the potential to be among the best small forwards, certainly higher than deng and george, and Len can beat out the scrubs at center.

LeBron, Durant, and 'Melo much?

That's three of the top 5 players in the NBA.

Huh? What does he mean by that? I really hope we end up with one of Noel, Porter, or Len in some order. Noel's knee does scare me, but I'll assume we'd only draft him if our doctors gave him the green light.

I'm really hoping we're "forced" into a spot where Noel or Len makes the most sense, so that the SF spot remains open.....

Cant tell if serious...........

So you would rather shell out tons of money for Bynum who at this point is just as much of an injury risk as Oden (meaning, he'll get injured at some point), or would you rather not pay as much for Oden and get slightly worse production when he does play?

A healthy Greg Oden (at least last I saw of him) and a healthy Andrew Bynum really aren't that different of a player - and Oden has better hair.

I'd have to disagree. Or at the very least, it's unknown because Oden has barely played. But we have what Bynum can do when healthy. 19 and 12 the last season he played (with Mike Brown by the way). I don't think Oden is capable of averaging that stat line.

I wish Oden could of stayed healthy. He probably wouldn't have those numbers, but something along the lines of 16-9 and two blocks.

Really not thrilled with anyone in this draft. I just can't get excited for any prospect. Just put all the top prospects name in a hat and pick one out.

Kinda half-agree with your statement the most at this time. What the hell can you do? Personally, I'd be more excited about making a blockbuster trade on Draft Night instead (which could happen given the amount of flexibility we have). And I think we are open to anything. That's the beauty of having a team with so many assets.

Ya that's what I'm leaning towards as well. Would be nice to land a nice young player who's been in the league a couple years. If that can't be done I would be open to listen for offers for a 2014 lottery pick. Obviously it would have to be the right team but hey you never know maybe some team like Charlotte is dumb enough to do something like that.

Was anyone expecting the Cavs to take Waiters last year until a few days before the draft?

I want

1. Oladipo
2. Noel
3. Len (I'd reverse Len/Noel if I wasn't worried about the stress fracture)
4. Porter
5. Bennett

In that order.

I honestly think Otto Porter is the safest pick for the Cavs. We need someone at SF, he doesn't look as explosive as some other guys in the draft but he is very promising. I'm worried about Noel's knees. Oladipo just doesn't have the size considering we already have 2 smaller players in Irving-Waiters. I think Porter would be a safe pick for the Cavs. Also, say that we don't add anyone by trade or so this looks very good:

Irving-Livingston
Waiters-Ellington
Porter-Gee
Varejao-Zeller
Thompson-Speights

On a side note, I think we need to find better backups for Irving and Thompson. But, that's another thread :p

First pick: Noel or Len

19: Reggie Bullock

31: James Southerland
33: CJ Leslie

Don't expect the Cavs to leave the draft with 4 players. The FO only likes going into a season with 2 rookies.
