Darius Garland and Love get traded to the 6ers for Ben Simmons. Sexton gets moved to PG, where he thrives with Simmons and Mobley taking some of the set-running duties off him.

Cavs make it to the 6th seed and lose to the Nets in a 1st round sweep where Ben Simmons goes 2 for 20 on 3pt shots, shoots a total of 1 for 5 at the line and breaks down in tears on national television.

I just can't get behind a scenario that's so unrealistic.

Ben Simmons has never attempted more than 11 threes in a SEASON let one twenty in a single series!

Mike Brown coming back is more plausible!

Sexton Average 26,3,4 and lead the Cavs in scoring. Altman takes a gamble and pisses off Cavs fans. His job is on the line.

Love and Sexton are traded for Ben Simmons and scraps.

Cavs surprisingly wins 48 games and Bickerstaff + Altman keeps their jobs.

PF : Mobley
C : Allen

This new line-up ends up a top 3 defense in the NBA.

Garland average 17,3,9 steady but didn't inprove much from the year before.

Okoro average 21,7,7 and shoots 39% from 3. He wins most improved player in the league and the league sees him as a rising star.

Simmons redemption season. Average 23/12/11. He actually develops a decent mid range and shoots from 3 at 28 %. The fact that he shoots opened up his game. Still a lockdown defender.

Mobley wins runner up for rookie of the year. Averages 17/11/11 and honorable mention for all NBA defense. ( Jalen Green wins averaging 28/5/4 and had a few games scoring 58, 44, 61, 38, 78.

Allen wins defensive player of the year. Averaging 14/13/5 and took his defensive plays to new heights because of the addition of Simmons and Mobley on defense, made his life much easier.

Cavs is a feared team for the next season and for the foreseeable future. Mentions in comparison to the Bad boy Pistons defensively.
 
After realizing we are too short, Gilbert decrees no player under 6’7” is allowed on the roster. We sign Hartenstein, trade Sexton, Garland & Okoro for Ben Simmons and Porzingis. Our starting lineup of Simmons, Porzingis, Allen, Mobley and Dean Wade is the tallest in NBA history. We still win 25 games.
 
Just as the Cavs have a blockbuster trade that includes offloading KLove's contract, he has a nervous breakdown and the team that was willing to take it pulls out of the deal. KLove's contract stays stuck to the Cavs for its entirety.

Collin Sexton will look back at his high school clips and become an exciting point guard with highlight reel dunks, no-look passes, and ankle breaking handles only to end up going to another team and become a perennial all-star.

Garland will lob to Allen and Mobley at the same time creating a mid-air collision which results in us acquiring Tyler Zeller as a starting center on a two-way contract.

Altman will grab at least 10 G-league players under 10 day contracts and cutting them over the last month of the season that brings us over the luxury tax level resulting in his firing where he will then go work for ESPN since he will hate Cleveland afterwards.

Okoro is assigned to cover the outfield for the Cleveland Guardians and does a better job.
