Wizards trade #5 pick to Minnesota

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Washington isn't going to be any good because they picked up freaking Foye and Mike Miller.

They are still, at best, a second round playoff team.

Would you agree?

The more I think about it.... if you put LBJ on ALMOST every team in the NBA (at least 75%), they would be better than we are.
Perhaps true... Regardless, perk up, buddy...

I don't know about 75%, but a lot of teams would be much better, the scariest would be the Blazers.

The good news for the Cavs is they don't have to deal with Songalia torching them anymore.. No way possible he can get to us in Minny...

A lot of Wiz fans are talking about this being a move to open up options to trade for Amare.

They just gave away the onvly viable starting point in a talk to trade for Amare Stoudamire. Foye and Miller arent bringing those bums anyone of revelance, otherwise Minny would have pulled the trigger themselves

They have the assets to do it, they can offer a wide range of packages that includes young talent across the board.

Okay, the best possible package I could see them offering now.

Caron Butler, Mike James and...um...Nick Young?

They lost all hope with trading the #5.

I really don't think Amare is going to be a pure salary dump, the Suns are going to want some kind of talent in return for him, and the Wiz do have that. The Wiz could easily put together a package of Haywood, McGee and Butler, so not only do the Suns get an expiring they'd get an excellent SF with a decent contract that only has 2 more years on it, and a young prospect who has massive amounts of upside.

Yeah I think so too. They blew all there powder on this year I guess. I think Foye is ok, and Miller seems to be on the downward slope. Could make the Wiz better for next year, Minny's in a better place for the future. Pretty good deal for both teams.

JaVale McGee is better than any player they could have gotten with the 5th pick.

Washington is loaded offensively. They will be playing alot of junk zones there in DC though.

Wow didnt see this at all, thought t'wolves were happy to keep Foye around for a long time.
To me they arent done with trading though, 4 first round picks. Surely they could offer 2 of them for a decent young player.

Could this mean the Wolves ship us the #6 and Etan Thomas' contract??? Stay tuned.
