Wow.....was not expecting this until after the season. One thing you can say about being a Cleveland sports fan........it's never dull. It's going to be extremely interesting (at least to me) to see what happens in the interim (i.e. this trade deadline).

This move was a critical one and needed to be executed before the deadline. I didn't know if Gilbert had the stones to flip the front office mid-season, but I'm glad he did.

Avoid any possibility of Grant making a knee-jerk transaction with his job security in mind as priority 1A.

I think it makes it easier to fire Grant first and not letting him blow up this team to save his and mike browns job. Mike Brown will be fired at some point by the new GM by saying they are going in another direction and bring in there own coaching staff.
