I understood that the pain of loss is too fresh for saying "great series, Cubs". But I would take a rational post from a Cubs fan over some of the garbage posted upthread. Plus morgwon is a Warriors fan, so he'll never get to forget June 2016. :chuckle:

Wait...he's a Cubs and Warriors fan with a Bulls logo as an avi...what kind of mutant are you, morgwon.

Well, he was rooting for the Warriors in last year's finals, anyway...

He's fine. It's not like he's trolling or baiting.

I don't see the problem, personally.

I'm not saying he is...I have yet to say he is. I literally said I get he is being nice and complimenting the team...certainly I would not say that if I thought he was trolling...I'd be a little meaner, like I was to some of the shit last night.

But like I said...coming in here so soon after the end and complimenting the losing team and its fans just comes off as patronizing to me.

What the hell...

I was just reading his initial post.

But I"m going to let this go.

I'm going to try not to replay the lost opportunities and mistakes in Game 5 and Game 7. The Tribe gave themselves a chance to win (and a chance to lose) in both games and just couldn't get there. So close it hurts and resonates. I hope they get there again soon because this was an incredible run to watch until the last out.

Oh...I'm not trying to get the dude banned, if that's what people thought...I'm just protecting him from overemotional asshole fans like myself who are waking up on the wrong end of a game 7 today.

I'm with BCH.

Don't want to hear from Cub Fan today. Sorry. Just don't. In fact, I don't want to hear from Cub Fan for a while. Congrats on your win. You deserve it, 108 years is a long time, we already won a title this year in basketball, your team is just flat out better, etc etc..I get it. I totally do. And now a lot of them are filling up my Facebook news feed, they want to be classy. Makes total sense. Now's not the time. On top of the heart wrenching loss, our stadium was jam packed with so many of these people that it looked like a Cubs home game. It was infuriating for die hard Cleveland fans, or at least for myself. So yeah...thanks, but boom. Outta here. :chuckle:

I will say, this run was the most fun I've had watching baseball...probably ever. I've always loved the Indians, but this gave me a love for baseball again that I haven't had since I played through High School.

Not a Warriors fan just said I was rooting for them mainly because the Bulls have been Lebron's bitch for so long. Having said that @BimboColesHair let me know when its cool to come back to this thread.

Fuck. Turns out I went to high school with the sister of the guy who got the16 Indians champs tattoos

I'm not angry or torn up as I have been in regards to other Cleveland/Ohio losses.

The 2008-2011 Cavs loses? I didn't even bother to watch the finals as I was that pissed and angry. I really thought we should have been in there.

The 2006-2007 BCS Title games? I didn't try to go out of my way to watch ESPN or anything. I was so pissed that we got stomped on.

My expectations for what this team was supposed to do was not "World Series". It wasn't. So I can look at the Indians World Series hat I have, and the watch party's I went to at Progressive Field with a smile on my face.

I just don't feel like a loser. I don't see a reason why we should.

Great piece on how the game plan for attacking hitters is formulated by the staff and players.

Absolutely spot on:
