Do Not Sell My Personal Information

I’m of the belief that even the best team in the MLB each year has at most a 35% chance to win it all, and that’s if they’re one of the best teams in recent years

So I don’t view any one team as likely to win in the mlb

I agree totally. The idea is to be a consistent contender year in and year out, and you'll win eventually.

Tough to do that in this market though.

Exactly why it’s the one to get.

Bonds/Griffey couldn’t get it done. Trout/Harper haven’t been able to.

Wild card teams win it here and there.

Essentially you can throw the superstar argument out the window... Unless you had Jeter— in which logic did not apply...

Man, that was my first thought, but that would be a very tough choice.

I’d honestly trade the Cavs championship just for a 50/50 shot at a World Series championship.

Indians are that far and away for me, and the Cavs title was awesome.

Truth be told the Cavs should, in a vacuum be the toughest title to win. But we lucked into having the best player ever play for us for 11 years.

Indians gonna get that monkey off their back this year boys!! I feel it!! @The Wizard of Moz

I'll be watching your posts closely in the game threads.

Get the bullpen sorted out.

We have a great 1-4 starting staff.

We have a great 1-4 in the lineup.

We need a great 1-4 in the bullpen, it's only fitting.

I really, truly believe that the 1-4 that the Indians have in their lineup and starting rotation are among the best in baseball.

We would be singing a much different tune if the bullpen hadn’t lost like 13 or 14 games already this year. They would have the best record in baseball, easily.

That's not even up for debate, really. We would have a double digit division lead. :chuckle: ugh.

The Indians bullpen has 13 losses. Yankees has 7, Red Sox 6, Astros 10.

Now this doesn't tell the whole story because a bullpen can take a loss if they give up 1 run in the 6th in a 0-0 ballgame or give up a run in the bottom of the 15th after going 5+ scoreless extra innings. In those cases I'd put a lot of that blame on the offense. I'm going to look further into our bullpen's 13 losses and 5 wins this year to truly see how many games they've blown that they should have won

Even with the rest of the suckage, a healthy Andrew Miller gives us 4-5 more wins.

He blew 3 games in May, and if he’s available and effective we probably pick up at least another win or two.

5 Bullpen Wins
Apr 8, 3-1 W vs. KC. Bullpen didn't allow any runs

Apr 10, 2-1 W vs. DET. Olson blew 1-0 lead in 7th. Bullpen didn't allow any runs for remaining 2-2/3 and Indians scored bottom 8th

Apr 30, 7-5 W vs. TEX. Olson blew 3-2 lead in 8th. Tribe scored 4 in bottom 8 to go up 7-4

May 27, 10-9 W vs. HOU. Should be fresh in our minds. Bauer started to crumble in the 8th and bullpen fell flat on their face. Lead went from 3-1 to 3-8. Tribe rallied bottom 9th to force extras. HOU broke tie off Otero in the 13th. Tribe scored in 13th and 14th to win

May 31, 9-8 W vs. MIN. Otero/Beliveau/ZMac blew 8-4 lead in the 7th. Indians scored in the top 8 and Olson/Marshall/Allen finished remaining 2 innings scoreless

That Houston game was infuriating until we actually won.

Bauer was masterful, but they left him out there for nearly 130 pitches because they knew the bullpen sucked. He left with 2 on, 1 out, and Evan Marshall came in and gave up 3 straight hits.

Inherited runners, just another reason ERA is a trash stat.

Not tough at all.
Indians, Browns then Cavs.

Interesting, surprised so many are baseball fans first.

Personally its football to me. I know this is Blasphemy, but I would trade Lebron and Lindor to get a Super Bowl victory for the Browns. I get how unlikely that is anytime soon, but still would.

As someone born in the late 80s, I really have no connection to the Browns, and therefore don’t give a rat’s ass about football.

I know I’m an outlier in that regard.

I also don’t consider what you said to be blasphemous considering I said I’d trade the Cavs championship just for a 50/50 shot at a World Series.
