Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That's the spirit Kip. Hopefully he starts swinging a hot bat just in time for the stretch run. Just give us 2015-2016 Kip for a month.

Zach McAllister in Detroit: 3 G, 3.1 IP, 8 ER, 10 H, 21.60 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
Zach McAllister in Triple-A OKC: 5 G, 6 IP, 6 ER, 6 H, 9.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP

Talk about absolutely cooked. Dude probably won't see another major league inning in his career, outside of Spring Training and maybe September call-ups. Only 30 years old too.

You never know, he may sign with the Mets and Callaway will get him back on track, but he has always had a good fastball, but his secondary stuff has been hit or miss honestly.

I’d much rather have Allen’s speed and defense in CF than anything Kipnis has to offer.

The difference between their bats against an elite squad is de minimus. Play Allen, have defense and if Allen gets on, drive the pitcher crazy.
It’s just a mistake to put Kipnis out there.

When healthy this team is loaded from top to bottom. How awesome would it be to have this lineup for 2019.

Lindor SS
Brantley LF
Ramirez 2B
Donaldson 3B
EE DH
Alonzo 1B
Diaz RF
Gomes C
Martin CF

That lineup along with our pitching staff could be the best team the Indians have ever had.

For real, he was never good when throwing nothing but fastballs. I don’t need advanced stats to prove he was anything but average. He was trash.

Something that doesn't make any sense is looking at Diaz's muscles and knowing that he just doesn't hit homers. Happy to see one ho last night.

This is why "launch angle" is such a prevalent term in baseball right now. He has one of the lowest launch angles in baseball on balls put into play.

Diaz has an average exit velocity in the top 10 in all of baseball right now (albeit in a small sample size)...that's where his muscles come into play.

But his swing mechanics are not that of a power hitter, instead more of a spray hitter. 45% of his balls put in play are hit on the ground, the majority of which are coming off the bat at 100+ MPH (like his game ending double play the other night).

Needs to alter his mechanics/swing plane to become a power hitter.

I've seen so much about Kipnis' frustrations with the move out of 2B... I just don't get it. Sure you can be upset with losing your spot, but he's been given TWO YEARS to figure things out. Just based on the little that's come from him since the Donaldson trade has me believe he actually thinks he deserves to play every day on this team which is asinine.

Must be tough for both Allen and Kipnis. But Hand and Donaldson are awesome acquisitions.

Just win baby
