I was wondering what everyone's biggest question is about the Cavs for this upcoming season or what one thing should be answered.

I'd have to go with finding out whether Larry Hughes is the right fit with LeBron and the Cavs for the long term.

We still don't know for sure since Hughes missed so much time last season. I like Hughes and his talent but I still wonder whether his game and his strengths are the right fit. He needs the ball in his hands quite a bit and isn't the greatest perimeter shooter. I think having G's with consistent perimeter shooting ability are what's needed to play with and off LeBron.

Putting a better shooter at PG would also make a huge difference and help Hughes also.

I figured we all know the PG situation needs to be improved and I like that work has been done to improve the offensive system so I went with the Hughes question.

My biggest question(s) has to do with ZySlowness Ilslowness..And my favorite player, The great Drew Gooden...

We know what Snow gives us... No need to ask the question

We know LH will be hooked up to an IV sometime during the 82... No need to ask the question..

We need to know if: (A) Z will start to decline, and if not, will he be making an appearance for us in the playoffs for the 1st time since 1998, since he missed the party last season.. (B) Will The Great Drew Gooden actually 'get it' this season.. Will he be able to consistently put up the numbers and performances like he did during the preseason, against top level competition ?

My biggest concern is if guys like DJ and Marshall can return to their career norms and give us a better impact off the bench. Both had steep dropoffs in regards to 3pt shooting last year which made DJ the official whipping boy on the team.

My other concern is hoping Lebron will get opportunities to get more rest during games, he can't keep playing as many minutes as he had the last few years.

My concern is will we be better because we STOOD PAT or was not making any big moves a mistake.

For me, it's about PF consistency. We know about what to expect from the other positions, but the PF spot it the wild card for this team. If drew "gets it", D-Yell gets back to his pre-cavs form, and Andy progresses, the cavs front court could be the best in the league. They'll need that to make up for lack of production out of the back court. We know what Snow brings (love it or hate it) and Hughes could easily miss some games this season due to an injury (Hey, it could happen). The back court has a chance to be inconsistent. Good production from the PF spot can help the team create an identity, and weather the storm of back court inconsistency.

My biggest concern is can we stay healthy. We were near the top of the league in player games lost due to injury last season. So much of this league comes down to luck. Look at Detroit last year, they set any NBA record and nearly went the entire season without a starter missing a game...not many of their bench players missed games either. They had incredible chemistry and that's why they dominated all year.
We have the talent...if we stay healthy we can hang with anyone in the league in the postseason. If we lose one of our core, then it's just like last year.

With regards to us "standing pat", I think a move(s) will still be made. The right players weren't there this offseason. There is no reason to make a move, just to make a move. The Boston trade may be big leading up to the trade deadline...Ferry is fielding a ton of calls about the trade exception. I think he'll be able to pull off another Murray-type trade where we get a key piece for that late season push.

Chemistry is big...staying healthy is HUGE.

My biggest concern is did we overrate the cavs since they got to game 7 against detroit.

My biggest concern is...who will get hit when I throw-up my Q shaped pretzel after Eric Snow is announced as our starting PG! :puke:

Dipper (Cheese-like substance)

Plain (Last time I asked for no salt at the Q, the pretzel lady picked up a salted one and rubbed it off with her hands!)

Hate when that happens...

Just throw the pretzel at me. I'll be 12 beers deep by then and I won't even notice...actually I'll just eat it.:drink:

Time to go downtown. Go Cavs!

Damn you guys are lucky. I wish I lived in the Cleveland area - I'd be all over the festivities. 2 more hours until Cavalier Countdown begins on FSN.

Z will be fine, he was injured at the end of the year last season. He usually plays well through injuries to his hands, but he hurt his ankle and he just can't afford to lose any more mobility.

Hughes will be fine. With more ball movement, everyone will get more touches, and I look forward to seeing Larry and LeBron setting each other up. Both Larry and LeBron shoot well enough to force people not to lay off them, and thanks to the rule changes, you can't have enough slashers. The fact that Hughes has a fairly light frame is less of a hindrance these days because quickness and length is favored over strength and size.

Damon and Donyell are in good shape and will settle in to their roles.

Nah, the only thing that worries me is whether the team keeps progressing defensively. Everyone seems to think they turned the corner in the Piston's series, but in reality what they did was take advantage of Detroit's lack of quickness and simply switched on P&R's. We have the personel to do this at times and it's a great option, but it's not going to work against teams that can create mismatches with the switches.

If they can show they can fight through screens, or if the bigs can show hard, and if the help-defense and the rotations are solid - the Cavs will go a long long way.

I look forward to seeing how LeBron, Drew, Damon, and AV have progressed, what a leaner/meaner Donyell will mean, and how Pollard and Wesley may contribute to the D this year.
