Your dream offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
wow man that is freking awesome....I love it how you got connections and are kind enough to enlighten us a bit...where is the kids camp run??? do you need any help running it???

as for the trade ideas I was wondering if you had heard any names from your sources thats all

I have nothing but my own specualetions at this point. I know what guyys we've entertained thoughts on in the past like Jaric ...but, I'm just speculating like all the rest of you guys right now.

We run our camp at a huge sports facility right on I-90 called Family First Sports Park.
We have alot of college kids come in and some Cavs personnel always commit, if you're interested and have some experience send me along a line and I'll contact you when we get closer.

ya I will do that...I am studying to be a teacher right now and have been a sports coach for youths a few times and I love to donate my time to these types of camps and what not....

if you hear any names then I am sure you would let us know....thanx for the flow fo info

I wouldnt Mind that Trade too much because I wanted Marko Jaric before the season started last year...I guess Ferry would try and pawn Gooden off on the Bulls for Ben Gordon in that case scenario
I would go bananas if we landed Gordon AND Jaric this off season. Talk about uprading our point guard position!

Edit: I was thinking about it, and if we're talking dream offseason, shouldn't that begin with the draft where we have THREE PICKS? If Ferry can hit on all three, we just added three players to our long term core, doubling the size of that club (currently just James, AV, and Hughes). If he got us our PG of the future, a quality PF/C to take over Gooden's minutes, and a quality swingman to take over Flip's minutes, we'd be set before we even signed an FA!

Of course, realistically the best we can hope for is that Ferry hits on 2 of the 3 picks. It's also pretty unlikely that our pg of the future would be nba starter caliber out the gate. But this is a dream thread, and it is possible he hits on all three, and every year we see a few rookies step up and be quality starters.

So my new dream offseason:

1. Draft three players to add to our long term core, preferably a point, swingman, and biggun.
2a. Trade Gooden for Ben Gordon and sign Nazr with the MLE.
2b. Trade Gooden for a backup C and sign Banks with the MLE.
3. Anything else is gravy.

Are the bulls really shopping gordon and if so why? Seems like him and heinrich make a great back court with gordon guarding the 1 and heinrich the 2, while heinrich runs the offense. I wouldnt at all mind bringing in a combo guard, if the combo guard was as talented as ben gordon since we have james and hughes around. I havent heard of chicago being unhappy with gordon though, unless they feel they would like a bigger guard and using gordons trade to get a big.

Chicago has a ton of options though because they have enough money to sign a max player and are sitting on the #2 spot in the draft, thanks to new york. If they can get someone like lamrcus aldridge i dont see them being interested in gooden. They may like rudy gay though and could employ a large wing combo of deng and gay but neither are good enough ball handlers for the 2 in my opinion.

Or they could like brandon roy who is definitely a 2 guard. The options for chicago are endless but im not sure i see them giving up on gordon.

Maybe Minnesota would be interested in Gooden for Jaric. Don't know if I really like it, but it's a thought anyways.

I quite like your new dream offseason and I think that either way we would be golden....as I said before if this teams wants to grow we need to start drafting smartly and stop picking names out of a hat like Paxson did.....draft could viably give us 3 roster guys at the 3 spots you mentioned which would be huge....Ya i realy think 2a and 2b are the 2 things we need to look at this summer first
