Do the Cavs have the 76er's first round pick?
They are estimating that to be like #13...not bad at all

2nd round pick

No their 2nd rounder

is it possible to get elton brand?:D

^Doubtful. Elton Brand would bring a ring, IMO, but he is making about $15 M a year, the salaries wouldn't really match up in terms of anything benefiting the Clippers. Maybe they would be interested in Z's expiring contract + some Drafts...but very unlikely

I would go after Big Ben if possible...he deserves every penny he would get and is great for team chemistry.

Ben Wallace is on the wrong side of 30, and he counts on explosiveness for his game... I don't think giving him a big deal would be great for anyone...

Plus, the Cavs cap situation wouldn't allow it.. I'm not sure what the Cavs cap situation is, but I don't believe they can make a big splash this off season.

That's a good point about his age actually...you can check their salaries at hoopshype.com

IDEAL?

S&T for Jason Terry with Dallas
Trade for J.R. Smith (I don't want to trade Sasha but if that's what it takes)
Get some sort of decent big to backup Z
Get rid of either Jones or Snow due to backlog at PG and eliminate Ira any way possible?

No Ira, Luke, Henderson, Flip, Graham.

Amon Jones is like borderline to me but get rid of him only if the deal is sweet. He played well enough in the postseason to stick around.

A shot blocking powerful power forward.

A true pg that can score.

Some help for Z. Whether it's a young replacement or Someone that can come in D up and block shots.

More role players for Lebron to work with. No offense but if they are young not european.

And finally a NBA finals team.

Who is big and physical and play solid defense and score? :chuckles:

I'd be happy with Ben Wallace, but it ain't happenin..
Well , not really score but at least hit an open shot when LBJ is quadrupled and go up strong when around the rim consistently. This is what Ferry gets the big bucks to do.

Trade for Korver? He has a reasonable salary and wants out of Philly.....Not ideal, but a decent spot up shooter

Draft Jordan Farmar

Trade Gooden

Trade Z

Replace Gooden and Z with two guys that can play...

That's about it!

I don't know why everyone wants to get rid of Z so badly. He's been with us through thick and thin. He deserves to stay on this team and he deserves another year as our starting center and one more year to play in the playoff's with us to prove his worth.

No doubt, the man choked, but he is definatly capable of playing better basketball. No one seemed to complain about him while we were beating Detroit. I saw a bunch of I LOVE Z posts around here, and all of a sudden everyone changes their mind.

Also, I doubt anyone would want to trade for Z while is is on the decline along with his 4 year contract.

Like it or not, Z is probably going to retire a Cavalier.

Draft Dee Brown, Shannon Brown, or Gibson from Texas, re-sign Drew (yeah I said it, he's dumb but hes only 24 and will get better), resign LBJ to atleast 5 years, Trade Snow and get someone that can play the 1 or 2 that can create their own shot and be effective on fast breaks. Eric's D is good yes, but he's one of our highest paid players and thay ain't right.
