I am Asian, Korean to be exact and I find foods from many cultures very appetizing, my question is which food do you find the most appetizing? Discuss. Also list the culture because it might be from a different culture than you originally thought it was.

Mine:

Kimchi(Spicy Pickeled Cabbage)

Korean.

Greek- I like good authentic gyros, pita bread with hummus and good Baklavah to follow it up. One of my favorite meals of any culture.

Nothing....and I mean NOTHING...beats my grilled hot dogs. I'll take a pic next time it qualifies because the google images all look like some guy from Normandy tried to make a hot dog and failed miserably.

Has anyone here tried the Myanmar food at C&Y Chinese Resterant on St. Clair Ave? Burmese (the country has changed its name to Myanmar) is amazing... when I moved to my new apartment I got hooked on it.

Taste of Myanmar (Monday, March 20, 2006)

By Cleveland.com

A first in a Cleveland restaurant has to be the many Myanmar dishes now being served at C&Y Chinese Restaurant, 2222 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland. Myanmar, formerly Burma, is known for its spicy dishes. The grilled spicy beef slices served with a sauce and variety of vegetables; chicken with vegetables; and spicy shrimp were all first rate. C&Y does not season these dishes nearly as hot as one would get if eating them in Myanmar. But it does provide diners with a dish of hot pepper flakes and chile oil. There are also a number of vegetable dishes, soups and other items from Myanmar on the C&Y menu. Many seem not far removed from Chinese dishes, others are unfamiliar to most Cleveland palates.

I was out in my home state of California last week, and I got my new all time favorite...

Six dollar Carls Jr GUACAMOLE BURGER..

It is a crying shame that Ohio doesn't have Carls Jr. Travesty to be honest..

And Splitz is right.. There's a Chinese place within two minutes of walking distance from my place, and they serve the best Chicken and Brocolli.

Carl's Jr. over In and Out, Pip? Brave call.

Ugghh of course i run into this thread when im starving and nothing here to eat. But isn't Carl Jr's and Hardees the same thing? I know Ohio has a hardees, Just haven't seen one forever

Carl's Jr. is Hardees in Ohio. I thought that was common knowledge, but I believe that guacamole burger is a regional thing. As I'm sure I haven't seen it around here.

Haha. Why Normandy?

I love me some Chicago dogs:

And as a huge Phil Savage fan, I do in fact root for Buffalo...wings that is. Wing Stop is my favorite place for Buffalo Wings and seasoned fries. They don't have em in Florida but I used to get them in Dallas like once a week.

Korean.

Love Kimchi myself. there is a korean place around the corner from me that I go to at lunch sometimes. My boss is Korean (lives in cali) and I am Jewish (work from home)....we joke all the time because I often eat Korean and he eats Matzo Ball soup for lunch every day....Little cultural exchange.

But, by far my favorite food type is chineese. Mexican comes in second though.

Well, I am White (Born and raised in Tampa, Fla) and my wife is Korean (Born and raised in Seoul) and we both are appalled by most asian foods. Hahaha

We are a household of mexican food lovers. Even my 6 year old son puts Peppers or hot sauce on everything he eats. lol The spicier the better too!!! I bet we eat mexican a MINIMUM of twice a week. I lived in El Paso, TX for about 5 years on the border of Juarez, Mexico and that's where i think that i got hooked on it. It's horrible because I have gotten so accustomed to eating it, I can hardly enjoy something as simple as waffles without wrapping them in a tortilla and putting hot sauce on them.

Almost all American (big ass burgers, spicy chicken wings, WTFBBQ, buffalo wings:drool:), Chinese and Filipino foods (no not cats and dogs lulz). I'd reconsider some Indian foods especially chicken curry.

But how could I forget ITALIAN FOODS?!?!?! It's the best there is....
