"Right now I'm a Wizard"
Z and his agent, and the Cavs front office are all playing this as carefully as they possibly can.
They know they are under the microscope on how they all go about this because the NBA hates the loophole we're using and they want to close it.
The thought of putting on a new jersey makes him almost queasy.
And he'll have to wear No. 17, because the Wizards have retired his usual No. 11
Z's going to have to give Grunfeld the pre-game stare down.
Okay; so maybe I'm not getting it. Why did he go to Washington? Did Dyce report to the team when he was bought out and back to Detroit? Nope. He didn't report at all I don't believe. Why is Z even there? What am I missing about this anyway? I don't get the reason Z felt the need to go to Washington at all.
They're still likely to agree on a buyout [for Z] -- the Wizards don't hate the Cavs so much that they'll set money on fire -- but now they can drive a harder bargain.

Does anyone have any idea of when Z will be bought out, if at all? If this drags on to next week, the Cavs will end up having to play a few extra games without Z, and that means they're going to end up losing a few more games.
that doesn't matter - it's 30 days from the date of the trade. As long as he's bought out by march 1st, we're okay. However, I believe it's easier to buy him out before the wizards play any more games - he gets paid each game they play, so there is less left to owe him, thus less left to cut from his salary in a buyout.
