I have a feeling that the Bulls will be asking too much to get Deng. He has been playing out of his mind lately, and unless they are trying to go into tank mode for the season, which seems doubtful, it will take too much to get him. I still think Caron Butler is the safest, most effective trade for a starting SF that the Cavs can manage. It would take barely anything to get an expiring veteran from a rebuilding/tanking team in Milwaukee. I'm surprised this idea hasn't gotten more traction around here. It's not the flashy move, but it gives us a reliable starting SF on a team that desperately needs one.
Most of these other players that are being discussed, Melo & Deng in particular, are going to be FA's in the off season and if we really wanted them on our team we could just sign them in the off season without giving up any substantial assets (which it would take to get either of them anyway)
