It has come to this... Cavs "exploring" trades

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Soooo...not to point out the obvious or anything but for those who've suddenly decided Evan Turner is a major upgrade for the Cavs do recall that for his first three years in the league he was considered a total bust, hot garbage, and a blown pick right? Lo and behold it appears the light has come on in the fourth year and we gotta have him. If that dude had already been on the Cavs 85% of you would've run him off already. Yet most of the Cavs "core" that has now been dismissed as a lost cause is all at 3 years or under of NBA experience. Hmmm....

This Is why I question the ratings of drafted players after even two years. Sometimes A player can blossom out of no where or suddenly. Infact both Kobe and Jordan had average rookie and even second seasons before they became great. Turner may have found It finally and If we end up with a mature grown NBA understanding Turner Is a All- Star level player who can be our SG If we "get" that top SF pick or FA. Turner assuming he would re sign would be Grant type move. High Risk High Reward. I would expect this to be his calling card trade that will get him fired or keep In office. I can see this trade as Grant swinging for the fences.

good...dude will never amount too anything in this league IMO... bad shooter who thinks he is way better than he really is

Ed Davis and Patrick Patterson have been rumored to be available this season, these are 2 guys who I thought were poised to have breakout seasons before they were both traded (last season). Both are good-sized PFs whose values currently are low because they're not getting a lot of minutes.

No thanks. We already have a log jam of underwhelming young power forwards at that position.

You beat me to it. I do not see it. Are these the same sources that had us fascilitating a dwight howard trade? I think I said in this trade still true 2 games later? They have been patient. They aren't going to over-react so fast. Unless it is part of the plan and I don't think that would include a first round lottery pick from recent that we really liked and surprised with.

Call them underwhelming but I'm merely standing by what I've seen from them when they played. Now I know we have a lot of bigs right now, I'm just listing possible buy low - gain high type trades is all. As of right NOW there aren't a lot of attractive players being rumored to be available.

Two first rounders for Asik? Fuck no. Bye Houston.

He's scheduled to make 15 mil next season. They're fucked. Everyone knows that he wants out too, makes then lose leverage. Crazy asking price.

Morey trying to be all Chris Grant playing hardball. I can't blame him but the reality is everybody knows Houston won't pay a guy 15 million to be a backup. Dwight and asik can't play together and everybody knows this. He needs to accept the fact that they will need to give him away for pennies on the dollar.

The only way they're getting 2 #1's is if NYK are willing to trade their 2018 and 2020 for him.

Don't put anything past the Knicks to fuck themselves. Isiah is gone, but his ghost still very much remains.

Anyone else think it's funny how long the Knicks have been considered "title contenders"? Lol They aren't and will never be, but since they have Melo I guess they're title contenders. LOL

Ridiculous. But Hilarious.

Might be stubbing my toe on this one if the cap hit for the acquiring team in a trade is dispersed over three years, but I can't help but laugh at the Rockets and their all too clever "poison pill" contracts, making guys like Asik way overpaid in their final years (15m!!!) and even less tradable. Goes to show that a clever short term move by even the most savvy of cap experts can backfire.

I want some of what Morey is smoking
