Re: Posey To Make Choice In A Month Or Two
Yes and for the Hornets, maybe a Posey is enough to get you where you want to be. For us it's not. We have no trades hanging in the balance. Even without expirings there is no guarantee we make a deadline deal in February again. We get a Posey and we don't become Championship caliber. He's coming off teams that had 2-3 All-Star caliber players and future Hall of Famers. Before that, he enjoyed a nice 8 years of losing. We can't expect Ferry to go all out for 4-5 years on a Posey who is nothing but a backup that can put you over the top contingent on multiple stars. It may have been worth the risk had we hit a homerun in the trade market this offseason but it would be too risky at this point.
Cant blame the hornets, they have alot of nice young pieces that just need the right compliment. Paul is one of my favorite players to watch play. He truly is a joy to watch, and posey would be a great piece for them off the bench.
