Knowing what the other guys on the market are getting (everyone from Kapono and Carroll last year, to Jones, Duhon, Jaric, etc. this year), I wouldn't be shocked to see Gibson land a 5 year $25 million contract.

Hell, Roger Mason got $3.5 mil per from the SPURS (not exactly known to overpay) and I think we can all agree that Boobie is a better player than him.

I think it might be us.....just because of the way W&G worded his post. If it was some other team, he would just say so...like he has always said before. But this time, he say "reading between the lines", and then proceeds to just say "one team".

Seems like he meant "reading between the lines" based on the small article posted saying that N.O. was the main competition. It is probably a safe bet that either Boston relented on the amount of years or N.O. is now offering more. If Ferry doesn't bite on that many years then I can't say that I blame him.

I gotta think that you may be over-reading this one. It is fair to say that W&G may be thinking we're in the running, but I just think that we need to wait and see. At the rate it has been going though, Posey's agent will be telling us today that a deal should be done by the end of the week....and later in the week he'll be telling us that a deal will be done by Sunday..and so on.
