This guy comes across like someone who dropped out of college after 1 year and maybe really didnt go to class much in that year who maybe heard a few big words in some of the lectures he did attend or maybe in the dorm elevator and uses them incorrectly but who is being told by his Dad that he needs to leave Cleveland to get away from Lebron's shadow because maybe Lebron needs the ball too.

So do you with this insanely long run-on sentence. ;)

Stephen A. would say the word percolate.

What a weird dude. Preaches how mature he's become, then questions Max's knowledge because he hasn't watched as much basketball as Kyrie. Dances around questions, refuses to say LeBron's name.... he tries so hard to sound smart and like he's some deep thinker to the media.. just strange

Kyrie on video comes across as a more intellectual/introverted/awkward version of Mike Vick.

Kyrie is twisting himself into a pretzel from trying too hard to say all the right things. I think Lebron's hammy douchey personality grated on Kyrie more than anything but Kyrie has as much trouble saying that to Stephen and Max as he had trouble telling Lebron that in private.

Kyrie has shown he lacks both the ability and the desire to have a man-to-man talk with someone else. In a way it makes sense with how poorly he handled the sequence of events.

I assume Gordon Hayward will be the leader of the Celtics instead.

I think the media and some YES people have Kyrie Gassed and I say this with all seriousness.

When the season begins, everyone will understand.

Now its looking like a Kyrie reality show where the main player wants to be the center of attention.

I'm sorry these interviews are not a good look, I would not do them but focus on Boston and the new season.

The idea the media is giving Kyrie is that he can beat LeBron since he is the reason why the cavs won the championship.

Have they forgotten LeBron went to the finals without Kyrie and love the season before that???????? With the same warriors team?

Let me make this clear, everyone played a part in those few seconds, Love, Delly, LeBron TT, without those players playing their roles, some plays would have not been possible.

Anyways let the season begin, this is the drama Lebron needs to shut critics up.

Kyrie here thinking LeBron is his problem making it to the finals, first get to the playoffs then we can talk:rolleyes:, he has so many good teams to pass before the cavs.

Hmm

Kyrie looks like the biggest idiot in the world after this First Take appearance. Man he should of stayed in school longer. When and if he replays this show, he isn't smart enough to realize how stupid he looks. I'm almost embarassed for him. Goodness it's almost hard to watch with his wishy washy nonsense. Wow.

I do not trust a single word that Kyrie says to be honest. First off, to say that he cares about LeBron and is grateful and then to turn around and say he didn't tell LeBron about his decision and didn't care... That shows he doesn't respect LeBron. I'm not saying LeBron would be the first person I talk to, but I'd give him the respect of saying "hey, I think it's about time I go off on my own." Now, some of it might stem from LeBron not telling people what his decision is, but at the very least no matter how unhappy LeBron is/was, he never demanded a trade.

But yeah, Kyrie constantly contradicts himself... I think we were all so enamoured with him as a Cav (and we constantly do this with our players until they're off our team), that we overlooked his obvious flaws. Including giving him the benefit of the doubt when he said the earth was flat, in thinking he was doing this as social commentary. I think the dude just thinks the earth is flat...

Dude should avoid doing interviews if he's doesn't want to provide honest and straight forward answers to question he should've seen coming. Coming at Max for being honest with him and doing his job was pathetic.

Here is his truth/reality (my speculation):
Things soured between Bron/Kyrie and in reading between the lines I think it's because his camp blames LeBron and his team for leaking the trade request that only he and the front office should've known about. In doing so he felt betrayed by the front office who weren't professional and LeBron who made it public thus hurting his image.

Channeling my inner Kyrie: These actions were external in nature but the true internal turmoil sipping though the exterior was that the team felt the need to consult with LeBron about not only trades he was involved with prior to the official trade request but revealing the trade request to him solidified how low he was in the pecking order in the eyes of the front office and the ownership group.

He is a bi*%# and doesn't want to say flat out. He would ear my respect if he said I'm sick of the LeBron narrative and wants to escape to a new reality where his skill set can be better appreciated and that he wanted to be more than a chapter in LeBron's legacy. Say something about subpar coaching holding him back from being the player he wants to be. Or be honest and say that LeBron's window has closed and that GSW will be on a 3-4 year run so I wanted to extend my window and grow with a young team. Anything but what he just did.

I agree, its obvious to me how conflict avoident he is being.
Its easy to avoid being challenged by saying "im doing whats best for myself"
I see someone who is escaping adversity, instead of taking a leadership role and communicating his concerns with lebron, the coaches and organization to give them a chance to work things out.
What kind of person doesn't talk to teammates during the playoffs, or tell teammates he asked for a trade..
I just don't think kyrie is a leader. He's passive agressive and doesnt communicate properly.
Good luck with that shit Boston.
