Browns rant thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I say this as someone who likes Kizer and the Browns.

But I think come draft day...depending on the direction you go? You may have to let him go. Not because he's not good. Not because he's a "problem", but because frankly? He deserves a shot at having an NFL career in an actual "Stable" environment.

Hmm. That may have come across worse in print than when he actually said it?

Not sure since I didn't hear him.

I'm not defending Kizer but Hue is just completely screwing with the kid at this point. Starter, benched, starter, benched.

Just a mess.
What else is Hue supposed to do? Kizer is costing us games with his interceptions and Hue is tasked with getting a win.

Kizer staying out on a Friday night doesn't mean shit to me. I'm listening to 92.3 and Dustin Fox is yelling at people about this, IMO he's full of shit.

I heard it. The audio sounded just as bad as in print. He deflected multiple times and got very defensive.

Now, this is a COMPLETELY different and lesser issue than Hue not putting him in a position to succeed, but he’s not doing himself any favors.

It's just disappointing to see Crowell play so badly. I really rooted for the guy since he was undrafted and one of the most consistent players on the team for the past couple years. Honestly, he should've been demoted a while ago and maybe even cut. We have one of the best offensive lines in football, there's no excuse to look this bad.

He's a cutback runner who hasn't been in the right system since Shanny left

Hue needs to game plan with his QB weaknesses in mind. He did a pretty good job calling plays in the first half until the possession that Kizer throw the pick. Short passes and getting the ball into playmakers hands was working. Hue decided he needed to get his fix with a couple deep passes and that's when it started to go to shit.

Second half roll around and he asks Kizer to throw on a design roll out when he know perfectly well his accuracy goes to shit on the move. The play calling wasn't even good with Kessler, why have him throw 25+ yards down field with his questionable arm strength.

Me, I think the Browns reporters are just trolling for a story and I think Kizer handled it as well as anyone could. IDGAF if he's out on a Friday night as long as he behaves responsibly. Fuck Dustin Fox's take on this.

I couldn’t care less about the statement or context. It’s bad either way.

Being out until bar close on a Friday night when you were announced the Sunday starter...

Honestly, how can you blame Hue? Kizer is hurting the team and killing the offense. He’s allergic to the end zone.

3 TDs, 11 INT, 50% completion. Hue is giving him chances but when he keeps making the same damn mistakes and the losses are piling up, do you just continue to reward awful play?

If I wasn't so disgusted, i'd be impressed.

Is that 0-16 parade happening again?

This is truly one of the worst teams in the history of the NFL.

Name me a worse team.

This regime sealed their fate when they passed on Carson Wentz. It made no sense then and even less now. That sole decision may have been the most asinine the franchise has made since returning in 1999.

I don't think Wentz is the same player on this team.

I don't buy this argument. A rising tide lifts all boats, and a talented quarterback does wonders for a football team. I can at the very least guarantee he would be looking a hell of a lot better than the trash heap they've thrown out there the past two seasons. Also, it would be the responsibility of the front office to find the right pieces to put around him like they have done in Philadelphia.

This is bullshit. Wentz wasn't some can't miss QB prospect. There were tons of question marks surrounding him coming out. Half the fans didn't even know who he was until after the CFB season ended. Stop acting like he was Andrew Luck all season and The Browns said no.
