Depends on how the off-season plays out. We shore up some weaknesses with FA and our first 3 picks go to FS, QB, RB, etc., then using our 4th pick in the draft to grab a DT/DE who would compliment our D-Line?
Most likely, if someone gets upset with that playing out, I'd wager it's sour grapes over his college.
Now if it's because FA was wasted and our first 3 picks go to BPA and those aren't needs? Then I'd hate the pick myself.
Hurst brings an interior pass rush with quick gap splitting and plays the run well, as well as occupying multiple blockers. And let's face it, no DT plays all snaps anymore, if they do, they are rare in today's league. Great depth for our rotation if Dorsey plans on adjusting our D-Line.
I wouldn't be opposed to him making adjustments to the D-Line anyways. We have no interior pass rush from our front 4 as is. Brantley has done better the past few weeks, but as constructed, we rely on the edge for our rush and we see what happens when one of our DEs miss significant time, we don't get enough pressure. Ogbah has been severely missed, I thought we were looking really good before he went down.
Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to make myself clear that I would be upset with the pick over certain factors, but in no way would I be upset with a versatile d-lineman who would help our D-Line as a whole.
