2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chase Daniel is nothing special.

Obviously, Cousins is option 1 for me. Then we don't even have to draft a quarterback.

Tyrod Taylor or Alex Smith would start, but you'd still need to draft someone--preferably at #1 and let him sit.

Anything worse than those 3, the #1 pick is probably playing, or at least competing with Kizer in camp. At that point, there are a bunch of shitty veteran names--I just want us to end up with someone to help in the classroom. You may mention a Bradford or Keenum--I, personally, hate them both and would rather not touch the money they are going to command this offseason given the fact that I don't want them starting for my team anyway.

I just don't want another year of 3 young guys like Kizer, Kessler, and Hogan. It's hard to grow that way--the coaches aren't always there.

Daniel, albeit limited starts, has been in the league awhile. He wouldn't play, he's there as a veteran. Nothing more. Nothing less. So, there's nothing special about him... more-so... he just isn't Hogan or Kessler. I don't care that it's him, I'm saying that it would make sense given Dorsey's past with him as an option--let's say, option 12--for example.

I guess I'll just say that I'm not ready to declare that which ever QB we pick has to sit just yet.

If by "pick," you mean in the draft, I agree.

I think if the veteran we sign isn't named "Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith, or Tyrod Taylor," then the rookie should have a good shot to be playing day 1.

He turns the ball over at an incredible rate. His throwing motion is awful. His hands are TINY. He forces too much shit that isn't there.

His on field play reminds me of Jay Cutler.

Relatively indifferent on Darnold, but this is pure speculation. Let's see how he's measured at the combine before speaking on this with such certainty.

I just don’t see how anyone could pick a guy like Josh Allen in the first round, much less the top 5.

To borrow a phrase from NBA draft Twitter, he’s two years away from being two years away.

He’s genuinely just height/weight/arm strength at this point. His tape is the worst of any “top” QB prospect I’ve ever watched.

I can’t find one thing Allen does right now better than Kizer. Kizer went 52nd and arguably was slightly over drafted, but McShay and Matt Miller are telling me Allen is a top 5 pick? Something doesn’t add up.

*John Dorsey said KC had 3 QB's ahead of Kizer and that Kizer still has some mechanical issues to work on

*Said he sees growth in Corey Coleman

*When he was with KC he liked Shelton, Bitonio, Kirksey, Duke, Myles Garrett (super special) coming out of the draft

*He made the college scouts take the top 12 QB's in the draft and watch them as a group and then rank them. Gave them an idea of what he was looking for.

He was asked what QB prospect that he likes the most and he said " I will take the best available player "

"Who were the Browns 5 best picks of the last few years? Yeah, really liked all of those guys"

Just sounds like GM speak, to me. Just like the "best possible player" garbage. Shut the fuck up Dorsey, you're taking a QB even if he isn't the best player in the draft, we all know it.

Sometimes people put way too much stock into what these coaches and GMs say. Their job is literally to not tell you anything.

I agree, just got a chuckle out of it.

@RG @Triplethreat One of you guys can buy back your bet for $20. As soon as one does, the other can't... You have 48 hours before the offer is rescinded.

Dagg, Dagg, Dagg....

I'll see you the week of the combine, where Allen's athleticism and size/arm strength combination will shine so bright that people will peg this man as the second coming of Cam Newton even though he's really Ryan Tannehill/Paxton Lynch.

Have you not learned ANYTHING?

Yep, people will fall in love with his size and pay more attention to his tape from 2016

Big L coming for @natedagg
