There is only one thing upsetting me about not moving Wally. His 13.8 million will expire and Cavs will not be allowed to sign another player to replace him. They are too far over the cap.
Unless I am mistaken, they cannot sign anyone in free agency. Can they? Are they allowed to go over the hard cap and still pay the luxury or are they only allowed to go over the cap in signing current players or trading contracts?
They can resign him obviously, and I think they'll also have the MLE to work with - but no, we're not able to go after any real free agents this offseason. Can't be too upset about that though, 2010 is the one we're aiming for and we have plenty to work with there.
