Bosh

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The best the Cavs can offer imo is....

Wallace- 14m expiring
Pavs- 4.9m expiring that is only partially guaranteed
Hickson- a young big with a lot of upside
Picks

for

Bosh and a contract like Kapono's...

Toronto would be insane to give up Bosh for that junk. Even if those contracts are expiring, that's not nearly enough incentive. While Bosh certainly isn't a franchise-changing superstar, he is still an all-star and probably a top 25 player in the league.

There would have to be some 3-way deal finagled in order to get Bosh, as we don't have the goods to trade for him straight up.

I agree, i don't think its enough. I just think thats the best we can offer. I don't see someone like West being included but who knows. I don't think they would want Boobie to tell the truth. He didn't have a good season and he just signed a new long term deal.

I think expirings, Hickson, and picks gets it done, everyone knows Bosh is going to Bolt so they won't give up anything of major value. I think they would actually want Pavs, since they go for international players.

I really dont think we can make it happen... we are in the East about to win the title as it is

why would Toronto deal Bosh to us?? Especially for what we are offering....

not going to happen guys

unfortunately i have to agree we simply don't have the pieces to get him unless we include one of our core guys in the package. perhaps they would do it if we include andy (~8mio). that could be a nice package: andy+ jj + sasha + (gibson) + 2 first rounders for bosh and kapono. toronto could use a defensive minded big like andy to play alongside bargnani

The Bulls can offer Deng, Ty Thomas, picks...

The Heats can offer Beasley, Haslem, and picks...

The Blazers have a ton of young talent if they choose to pursue Bosh..

The Warriors could offer Biedrins or Ellis, Randolph, Wright, and a lottery pick..

Toronto will likely want talent in return so I don't see how the Cavs can compete with those offers. On a positive note there could be some bigs available for cap space this offseason but they will be a notch or two below Bosh talentwise.

I love CB4, I really do. He's my second favorite player behind LeBron. But, I would not wreck this team just to have him here. There is the real possibility of getting a young PF/C free agent this year. We also need to decide what are are going to do with Joe and Wally. Both have shown flashes of brilliance this postseason. I'd like to keep Joe around for another season or two. Wally is a good swingman.

I like Ben, but we need to address the aging frontcourt badly. Sasha and Boobie really do not impress me at all honestly. Sasha is gone after this year, I'd almost risk my life on it. I could see Boobie hanging around because of his new long contract and because he could work on his shot this summer. J.J. is touchy because I like the kid, he's shown some great potential. But, we cannot wait 2-3 seasons for him to finish developing as our current bigs need more and more rest and treatment. I really like Darnell - he's tough and also has shown potential. Those are really our biggest trading options. We do need a third party, someone like New Orleans looking to shed salary and are not in our conference. We could get involved with Phoenix, but why not just go after Amar'e?

The key to the whole situation is up to Bosh. No team, especially a team like Golden State is looking to give up good options in terms of possibly rebuilding for a player who bolts after one year. If he doesn't sign the extension, he's going to have to be up front with teams looking to get him. You also have to consider Bosh's playing style. Would he respond to a run-n-gun style like Golden State? I could see Chicago or maybe Washington being the two biggest competitors. Other teams like Miami and Portland could also go after him. I expect Chicago to make the playoffs no question next season and if Washington can get itself together, they may as well also.

It really has to bother Chris that he was the only Olympian not in the playoffs this year. Part of me wants to believe he's looking for a place like Cleveland: somewhere where he is needed and can contribute big time, somewhere fun to play like what he had on the USA team, and somewhere he can win. I think he would transition beautifully here. I expect LBJ to sign an extension this summer, especially if we win it all. Adding someone like CB4 is the missing piece, it really is up to him at this point.

Yep. We can't put together the best package. Our only hope is that Bosh comes out and says he won't sign an extension with anyone but the Cavs.

chrisbosh: Everyone, please stop asking me to come and play for the team in your city. I get that question everyday now. I just want to enjoy my summer

In this economy anything can happen....teams are desperate for money right now. We could maybe even buy a lottery pick if the right team came along wanting to get money.

People in Chicago are desperate to give up Tyrus Thomas and get Bosh. I think it is a better package than what we can give. We will see though.

That message from Chris Bosh that TripleAStacked posted was from his Twitter.

LOL at CB's comment. Downright hilarious.

There's a lot of emotion swirling around this board based on last night. I'm over the loss now. I wouldn't say I am sure we're done because it's just the first game, but I am concerned. Even should we win this series now, we have to contend with either Denver or LA's bigs inside. Our biggest weakness was exposed again. We would have lost a lot more if LeBron didn't go Superman and keep it close.

We're still missing that final piece. We desperately need a young, reliable big inside. I really do believe Chris Bosh is that piece. We can go round and round and I continue to keep this thread alive because I believe it. I'm almost positive Chris will not remain with Toronto, the booing from his fans, the struggles with his team, the frustration of watching his Olympic teammates make the playoffs, it's all going to signal the end of his time in Toronto. I follow his blogs and it seems pretty clear to me. He really is just what this team needs. I'm including my favorite vid of him because it shows him capable of being a dunk machine and blocker. This last season he's been more finesse and worked on his jumpshot, but his earlier days are more power. I love how in the beginning he blocks Dwight twice!

Don't hate, looking at vids of my two favorite players takes my mind off the stinging loss. Plus, the music is cool. Cleveland needs CB4, I only wish we had a stronger chance of getting him.
