Bosh

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I haven't read through the entire thread so I want to apologize in advance if this has been posed. I was just curious as to what some other people thought about this.

I keep hearing that the Cavaliers will be moving Sasha this summer to get another 1st round pick. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but his contract I believe is not fully guaranteed and so would be very appealing for teams looking to clear cap space.

If this does happen does anyone think that packaging the 1st round pick acquired via Sasha + 1st round pick this year that we already have + 1st round pick in 2011 + Ben Wallace large expiring contract + JJ Hickson would be enough to trade for Chris Bosh? I'm not completely sure myself, but look at it from Toronto's point of view. They would have 3 1st round picks this year as well as 2 in 2011. They could groom JJ Hickson along who I personally believe is going to be a stud in this league. Then of course you have the large expiring contract that you could either let expire for cap space at the end of 2010 or you could use it at trade deadline for something good. They have Calderon and Bargnani. They would have JJ Hickson. It wouldnt take more than 2 years to rebuild. Let me stress that if they can in any way retain and extend Chris Bosh I think they should and will do so, but is it not worthwhile to get something good in return if he is definitley going to opt out in 2010? Finally, I think we could always add Daniel Gibson in there if they wanted one more piece. I believe they would have to throw in Kapono to make the contracts work out if Boobie was included.

Why I think we can get Jose is because they are certainly getting a good pick. With this draft lacking size, I believe they can get a good PG or a SF/SG with their pick.

Dont hate

honestly....it's hard not to hate after reading your idea :thumbdown.....no way not even when hell freezes over toronto/washington would do that. why would washington give up to of their youngsters (by the way both have reasonable contracts) who showed a lot of potential for sasha freaking pavlovic who isn't even in our rotation. ok about toronto you could be right they only give us a top10 player in this league who hasn't even entered his prime and is their franchise player and their young point guard for nearly nothing in return :chuckles:....if toronto would do that colangelo would lose his job immediately after that trade and fans would burn down their arena (which they easily could because toronto would probably lose their nba team anyway with such a team)

I don't have any kind of inside info or nothin but I seriously doubt Bosh is traded this summer. It's more probable they trade him at next years deadline if they have another bad year, and I think it's more probable they end up doing a sign and trade next summer. That's just what I'm gettin from what people are saying.

Anyway, I'm still holding out hope for JJ becoming a very good starter in this league, and I think how he develops over this summer will show us slot about his future as a player. I'm not talking about perfecting his outside shot or having a perfect post game at 20 years old. I'm talking about the NBA game slowing down for him so he loses those mental lapses which have ruined his rotation chances this year.

If JJ comes in next year after a gym rat summer (get around 250) and with a much less panicked approach in game situations, I could see him averaging something like 8 and 6.

Every indication I have recieved from our local(ish) media is that they will trade him if he does not sign an extension.

All the giddiness and excitement about obtaining Chris Bosh next season is gone for me. It's fun to think about, but the absolute realistic chances of this happening are so low it's ridiculous. I would rather watch our current Cavs continue to dominate and cause OTHER players to become giddy and excited about wanting to come play for Cleveland.

I love CB4. I would have myself a Cleveland Chris Bosh jersey faster than you could try to pass off one of those damned Canadian quarters that somehow always finds their way to you in change. If we end up with someone like Chandler or Gortat, fine. We took another player with potential last summer and he became an All-Star this season in this system, with this team.

Should be an interesting summer.

Of all the ridiculous Bosh trades I've seen posted since New Year's, this one is easily the most outrageous and one-sided. Bosh >>>> Ben and JJ, Calderon >>> Boobie, Young and Blatche >>> Sasha. We give up (arguably) the 4 worst players in the deal and get the 4 best??? Just because a trade works in the trade machine doesn't mean it's at all viable...why can't people understand that?

Let's do this one - it works on ESPN.

Hey guys,

ESPN NBA analyst Ric Bucher was interviewed today on The Bill Watters Show on AM640.

Here is what he had to say regarding Chris Bosh's future in Toronto.

NBA sources have told Ric Bucher that:

- The Toronto Raptors have either made or will make Chris Bosh a presumptuous contract offer this summer. It is basically a take it or leave it contract proposal. If Chris Bosh rejects the Raptors long-term contract extension offer (99% chance of occurring) this summer, he will definitely get traded this summer.

- The Raptors are not convinced that Chris Bosh wants to be in Toronto for the long-term.

- It seems as though, Chris Bosh is envious and jealous of the playoff success that has been achieved by some of his fellow Team USA teammates such as Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James.

- Unnamed NBA GM's think that Chris Bosh isn't a franchise player since players such as LeBron james and Dwyane Wade wouldn't allow their respective teams to lose as many games that the Raptors did during the 2008-09 NBA season, even if they were not playing 100% healthy.

There's nothing to do now, but wait. Ferry will make his decisions based on how the Cavs react to the final 2 series of the postseason. If the Cavs suffer from interior defensive issues, there's a good chance that Ferry might go and get some sort of key interior piece, one that is good offensively or one that is able to play defense.

If Chris Bosh truly rejects what the Raptors are offering, then it's all bets are off. Golden State may go for him, but we'll have to see what Ferry would try to do for the Cavs. Would he offer a lot of pieces to get Bosh (Wallace, Sasha, Draft Picks, Cash, more players)? Probably not, but we'll have to see what goes on after the draft is done.

If Bosh can't be bought, then any trades of sorts (and signings) can happen.

If the Cavs manage to win it all, there's less need to get a big piece to our future, but the Cavs may still try to persuade LeBron (but less than a 50% chance of it happening? Who knows) anyways.

The best the Cavs can offer imo is....

Wallace- 14m expiring
Pavs- 4.9m expiring that is only partially guaranteed
Hickson- a young big with a lot of upside
Picks

for

Bosh and a contract like Kapono's...

I really dont think we can make it happen... we are in the East about to win the title as it is

why would Toronto deal Bosh to us?? Especially for what we are offering....

not going to happen guys
