I mean the possibility is real just for the fact that he's a free agent and can technically go wherever he chooses and Golden State is making it known he's a top priority for them. Nothing is coming out from Durant's camp about him having any mutual interest, and I just don't see it. I'm not ruling out the possibility of him leaving OKC, but have we have ever had a player have a very hard fought, tempers flaring 7 game series with an opposing team, lose and then join them in the offseason? That's the part I can't wrap my head around. It'd make you think a whole lot less of him as a competitor.

It's still going to take some combination of renouncing all their pending FA's, finding someone to take one of bogut or iguodala off their hands and/or durant taking a massive pay cut for this to happen. financially, durant's best bet is to take a one and one deal with OKC.

Seeing the Celtics get shut out on all these players they think they have a shot at warms the cockles of my heart. I was in Boston for my honeymoon last week and wore a Cavs shirt to Fenway on Thursday night and some Chowd goes, "ay, fuck the Cavs, bro." I just walked by with a smirk on my face. Then, on Sunday, a Chowd who runs the Swan Boats told me Bostonians don't want Kevin Love anymore because his value is gone, and a TSA agent in the airport goes "the Cavs are going to LOOOOOSE tonight." Looks like you were wrong, fuckface.

Fuck the Chowds
:chuckle:

I lived with those douchebags for 9 years...

Not sure on the tempers flaring part, but Ray Allen going from Boston to Miami is the only recent one I can think of off the top of my head.

Pacers can come out of this offseason as a top 4 seed in the East.

Great job by Bird.

Nice move by Pacers.

Paul George is poised for a monster year, imo.

Ellis, Young, and Teague are some good players to surround him.

Turner looked like a really solid developmental big.

That is true, forgot about Ray Ray. I guess I can sort of hold onto the fact that he was at the end of his career and was coming off the bench at that point.

I don't think teague is much of an upgrade for them, but Young is a really nice player to put beside Turner. They already play the cavs very well. If they add a few more pieces, they could be a top 3 seed.

They have to find another guard. Ellis will not work with Teague.

There's your 2 seed in the East.

Disagree. They will be lethal some nights but I'm not scared of them at all. Detroit will be better and if I'm a Piston fan I'm hoping they go after Horford. A healthy Toronto is still #2.

Toronto just lost the architect of their defense, and there's a good chance they lose Derozan and Biyombo...

Detroit...they weren't even better than Indy this year...

HAHA Boston. You're "assets" are garbage.

This is an old fantasy football trick I use on noobs. "Just throw numbers at them" and watch them accept. Looks at all these players and picks you're getting!!!!

Except no team with a competent GM is going to take a heap of mediocre players for an all-star talent.

It's like my 2K16 buddy says- Boston is a team full of 75 rated players. Why would a team want 3 or 4 middling players?

Boston looks entrenched on the treadmill.
People laughed when I suggested if we were to trade Love to them we'd be getting all 3 BKN picks... Of course the problem with that is what the fuck do we do with picks when we're trying to win consecutive titles.
