I think Pau ends up on Golden State, personally. If rings are most important to him, that is..

If not, I could see him ending up here.

Personally, my #1 guy, which is a long shot, would be Wade. Maybe LeBron can sling him some of that Blaze pizza money on the side.

Pau makes too much sense here to happen. That being said, I bet he closes it out in Memphis with his brother. Between Love, Thompson, & Frye, I dont see how we make him fit. I would imagine he would want more than 15-20 mpg. Even at his age.

I think he easily gets 15-20 minutes if Moz is gone (which I think is likely at this point).

I agree it makes too much sense for him to come here, which means it won't happen.

The guy I want more than anything is Matt Barnes... This team needs some attitude and with the rotating door of LeBron's backup continuing next off-season (RJ being a free agent), I would do everything to get him here... He's an inefficient 3&D guy but he's being brought in more for just his strictly on-court play...

The intriguing part of the off-season will come with what the Cavs do with Mozgov... His play this off-season has severely hurt his value but I'm sure some team is still going to want to pay him... The best case scenario, in my mind, is to try to re-sign Mozgov to a prove-it deal but there seems to be a bit too much water under the bridge for that to happen.. For the type of money he'd want, I'd rather allocate that to re-signing Delly and finding a new center...

For what the Cavs need, I think there are a lot of intriguing options on the free agent market... To me, the Cavs need to find a mobile, rim protecting big who can start and play around 20 minutes a game... With Love, TT, Frye and Bron playing small ball PF, I don't think they need a huge investment at the center position... Just someone who can take the burden of banging off TT and be a rim deterrent..

For that, my two faves are Bismack Biyombo and Ian Manhinmi... Manhinmi might be getting a pretty good raise with how he's playing but could be an option...

Joakim Noah, Nene and Roy Hibbert all go under the "vets looking to ring chase" group, that is all dependent on if they want to come here and how well the Cavs can recruit...

Festus Ezeli and Miles Plumlee are both interesting because they're young and experience, but they fall into the RFA group meaning it'll be a little harder to pry them away...

Bismack is a guy I'd go after hard. Played solidly as JV's backup with a few huge games sprinkled in when he's been the starter.

I'd like to toss in a name I guarantee you see linked to the Cavs this summer, since you mentioned the Griz and some perspective bigs...Birdman.

I'd love to raid some of the Grizzlies vets, if they decide to do a mini rebuild.

I think we'd have a leg up on getting Pau. Would the Warriors even be interested in Pau?

The same reason Pau might choose us, is why JJ picked Miami. Playing time. Pau would start here. I'm not so sure he would with GS.

They really like having Bogut start. He doesn't score a lick. But he's as good of a passer as Pau. He sets great screens. And he's an outstanding defender.

Pau does have two rings. So I'm not sure he needs to ring hop. I think he wants to play, but be on a team that has a chance.

I honestly don't think he'd choose GS over us, but I could be wrong.

I just can't see Pau going to a place and being okay having a limited role there.

Can you guys explain to me how Pau helps us beat Golden State ?

He is terrible in PNR defense and he's basically a non-stretchy Kevin Love. Why would we want that on our team ? What does he provide that we're missing?

We need more 3-D wings who can play the 4. And maybe a 7 footer with stout D whose a decent roll man.

If Duncan does indeed hang it up after this season (nothing has been reported, but just a hunch from me), then San Antonio could have a big man rotation of Aldridge, Gasol, Boban, and David West.

Veteran, but extremely fundamentally sound.

Small detail, but Boban is a free agent this off-season, and I think he's going to get a surprisingly large contract from someone else.

I'd be going after Larry Sanders hard if he is indeed interested in returning. Seems to me like a low risk, high reward target that addresses a huge need. Still relatively young and with the right organizational structure, i think he could flourish.

Lord knows signing Bynum was a much bigger question mark, granted it was under the old regime.

I think a guy like Jamaal Crawford could do wonders for this team. Excellent scoring option off the bench and a guy who can go out and get his own shot.

Gasol and Wade are the pipe dreams, with Jamal Crawford, Aaron Afflalo, Matt Barnes, and Jared Dudley also of interest.

None of these guys is going to give us a better chance to win it all unless other major trades are made. Cavs are going to have to make some strong swings on the trade front and hope for the best.
